Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out whether CORE learning on students' communication and collaboration skills in Biology learning. The method used was a quasi-experiment with post-test only control group design. The population in this study was all grade 11 students of SMAN 6 Serang City. The sample used in this study was determined by random sampling technique consisting of two classes, namely 11 MIPA 1 as an experimental class, and class 11 MIPA 3 as a control class. The instruments used to collect data in this study consisted of non-test instruments in the form of peer questionnaires, communication and collaboration skills, and learning implementation sheets. The results of the communication skills t-test obtained a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. For collaboration skills, significance values of 0.046 < 0.05 were obtained. The average score of student communication skills in the experimental class was 82.28% (strong). For the acquisition of the average score of student collaboration ability in the experimental class was 87.91% (strong). Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the CORE learning model on the communication and collaboration skills of grade 11 students on the motion system material at 6 Senior High School Serang.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa pada pembelajaran Biologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian post-test only control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 11 SMAN 6 Kota Serang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling yang terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu 11 MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas 11 MIPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas instrumen non tes berupa angket teman sebaya keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi serta lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil uji t keterampilan komunikasi diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,014 < 0,05. Keterampilan kolaborasi diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,046 < 0,05. Perolehan rata-rata nilai kemampuan komunikasi siswa di kelas eksperimen 82,28% (kuat). Perolehan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kolaborasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen 87,91% (kuat). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap kemampuan komunikasi dan kolaborasi siswa kelas 11 pada materi sistem gerak di SMAN 6 Kota Serang.
