Abstract

This study aims to develop and produce e-learning teaching materials in the form of e-modules based on cognitive load theory (CLT) that meet valid criteria and are suitable for use in the learning process. This type of research is called development research, or R&D, using the ADDIE model, which has five stages: the analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. The subject of this research was conducted by 36 students. The research instrument used was a validation questionnaire and a student response questionnaire. The data obtained will then be analyzed using a Likert scale. At the implementation stage, product trials were carried out. The trial was conducted twice, namely a small-scale trial with 6 students and a large-scale trial with 30 students. The results showed that (1) based on validity tests conducted by media and material experts, e-module teaching materials based on cognitive load theory were declared valid with percentages of 76% and 64%, respectively. (2) Based on the results of small-scale trials, a percentage of 90.74% was obtained, and the results of large-scale trials obtained a percentage of 86.07%, which means that the developed e-module is very valid. Based on these results, it can be concluded that e-learning teaching materials in the form of e-modules based on cognitive load theory (CLT) are declared valid and suitable for use in the learning process.
