Abstract

This aims of the reserch were the first to find out the effectiveness of applaying cake application on student's pronunciation and the second to find out the effectiveness of applaying cake application on student's listening skills at SMAN 1 Malingping by using the cake application. The research used true experimental research design using a pre-test post-test design. The findings of this research showed that the result during the post-test on t-test, in pronunciation shown that to= 5.11>ttable= 1.67 at 5% in degree of significance with df = 32+31-2 = 61, and to= 5.11>ttable= 2.39 at 1%. From the result of calculation t-test = 5.11 If compared between to and ttable, to>ttable. It means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted and the post-test on the listening skill shown that to= 5.3>ttable= 1.67 at 5% in degree of significance with df = 32+31-2 = 61, and to= 5.3>ttable= 2.39 at 1%. From the result of calculation t-test = 5.3. If compared between to and ttable, to>ttable. It means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Student responses to the use of the cake application based on the pre-test and post-test explain this (1) The students agreed that the application of cake can make students improve their pronunciation because there are many interesting features for learning pronunciation. (2) The students agree that the cake application can make students improve their listening because there are many interesting features for learning listening.It can be concluded that the cake application can be effective in improving pronunciation and listening skills.

Additional Information: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah yang pertama untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan aplikasi cake terhadap pengucapan siswa dan yang kedua untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan aplikasi cake terhadap keterampilan mendengarkan siswa di SMAN 1 Malingping dengan menggunakan aplikasi cake. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian true eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain pre-test post-test. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil post-test pada uji-t, dalam pengucapan menunjukkan bahwa t= 5.11>ttabel= 1.67 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan df = 32+31-2 = 61, dan untuk = 5,11>ttabel= 2,39 pada 1%. Dari hasil perhitungan uji-t = 5,11 Jika dibandingkan antara thitung dan ttabel maka thitung>ttabel. Artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dan post-test keterampilan mendengarkan menunjukkan bahwa t= 5.3>ttabel= 1.67 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan df = 32+31-2 = 61, dan to= 5.3> ttabel= 2,39 pada 1%. Dari hasil perhitungan uji-t = 5,3. Jika dibandingkan antara t dan ttabel, maka > ttabel. Artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Tanggapan siswa terhadap penggunaan aplikasi cake berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test menjelaskan hal ini (1) Siswa setuju bahwa penerapan cake dapat membuat siswa meningkatkan pengucapannya karena banyak fitur menarik untuk belajar pengucapan. (2) Siswa setuju bahwa aplikasi kue dapat meningkatkan pendengaran siswa karena terdapat banyak fitur menarik untuk pembelajaran mendengarkan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi kue dapat efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pengucapan dan mendengarkan.
