Abstract

This study aims to find out how the relationship between knowledge and metacognitive regulation in students through tests in the form of questions and questionnaires on metacognitive regulations. The population of this study were all XI MIA students at SMAN 6 Kota Serang, with a sample of 35 students from XI MIA 1 class, using a purposive sampling technique. The research method used is correlation. The data collected was in the form of metacognitive knowledge which was measured using 5 description questions and metacognitive regulatory questionnaires (Metacognitive Awerenes Inventory (MAI) with 35 statements. The results of data analysis showed that the average student metacognitive knowledge was included in the strong category with an average value of 64.60 and metacognitive regulation are included in the moderate category with an average value of 75.54. The results of the correlation between metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulation (0.150) are very low in the concept of structure and function of animal tissue.These results indicate that there is no relationship between metacognitive knowledge and metacognitive regulation in This is caused by internal and external factors as well as the learning process that has not applied metacognitive knowledge and regulations to students.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara pengetahuan dan regulasi metakognitif pada siswa melalui tes berupa soal dan angket regulasi metakognitif. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa XI MIA di SMAN 6 Kota Serang, dengan sampel kelas XI MIA 1 berjumlah 35 orang, menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasi. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa pengetahuan metakognitif yang diukur dengan menggunakan 5 soal uraian dan angket regulasi metakognitif (Metacognitif Awerenes Inventory (MAI) dengan 35 pernyataan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pengetahuan metakognitif siswa termasuk kategori kuat dengan nilai rata-rata 64,60 dan regulasi metakognitif termasuk kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 75,54. Hasil korelasi antara pengetahuan metakognitif dengan regulasi metakognitif (0,150) sangat rendah pada konsep struktur dan fungsi jaringan hewan. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan metakognitif dengan regulasi metakognitif pada siswa. Hal ini sebabkan oleh factor internal maupun eksternal, serta proses pembelajaran yang belum menerapkan pengetahuan dan regulasi metakognitif pada siswa.
