Abstract

In this era of globalization more and more developments in the world of information technology used in an industrial process. In the industrial process control system is very useful to monitor continuity of an equipment in the industry continuously in order to produce more effective products. And today there is a lot of understanding about pumps, but the general sense of the pump is a device used to move a liquid from one place to another by increasing the pressure of the liquid. The pump is a machine capable of adding pressure or energy to the liquid fluid. The increase in fluid pressure is used to overcome the drainage obstacles. The drainage bottlenecks may include pressure differences, height differences or frictional resistance. By installing the pump, the liquid fluid will be able to flow from a low-lying site to a relatively higher place. This research performs pump testing for turbine control on water level control system. The pump operates under the principle of making a pressure difference between the suction portion and the discharge portion. In other words, the pump functions to convert mechanical power from a power source into a kinetic power (velocity), which is useful for draining fluids and overcoming obstacles along streams. The pumping system is responsible for nearly 20% of the world's electricity demand and energy use in certain industrial plant operations ranges from 25-50%.
