Abstract
Women as victims of sexual violence do not want to report their cases because they are afraid of a negative response from society. Various pro and con responses come from the community, both men and women regarding the reporting of sexual violence against women in online media. Present Magdalene.co is a media outlet that focuses on women's topics by presenting information and critical perspectives, empowering feminist,and progressive topics and entertaining. Researcher are interested examining how women interprest the news of sexual violence against women in media online Magdalene.co. This research uses reception analysis with a qualitative research approach with a descriptive in nature. The informants for this study were determined through a purposive sampling technique which produce six informants of diffent age and type of work. This study uses reception analysis with the encoding-decoding theory, that is consumed by active audiences by using three models according to Stuart Hall, namely: dominant hegemony, negotiation, and opposition. The results of this study were dominated by the position of female readers in the dominant category, three out of six informants agreed that the reporting of sexual violence on Magdalene.co makes women as victims protected by what the media should report neutrally and not corner the victims, namely women. This form of meaning occurs in informants who have quite a lot of background knowledge about women. So the factors that cause meaning to occur, namely personal experience, interests, age, and occupation, make them have different perspectives in interpreting a phenomenon.

| Additional Information: | Perempuan sebagai korban kekerasan seksual tidak mau melaporkan kasusnya karena takut akan respon negatif masyarakat. Terdapat berbagai tanggapan pro dan kontra datang dari masyarakat baik laki-laki juga perempuan terhadap pemberitaan kekerasan seksual pada perempuan di media daring. Hadir media daring Magdalene.co, media yang berfokus pada topik perempuan dengan menyajikan informasi dan sudut pandang yang kritis, berorientasi solusi, memberdayakan serta menghibur. Peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti bagaimana perempuan dalam memaknai pemberitaan kekerasan seksual terhadap perempuan di media daring Magdalene.co. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis resespsi dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif besifat deskriptif. Informan penelitian ini ditentukan melalui teknik purpose sampling menghasilkan enam informan dengan umur dan pekerjaan yang berbeda. Menggunakan metode analisis resepsi dengan teori encoding-decoding, dimana penerimaan khalayak kemudian dikategorikan ke dalam 3 posisi pembaca menurut Stuart Hall, yaitu dominan, negosiasi dan oposisi. Hasil penelitian ini didominasi oleh posisi pembaca perempuan kategori dominan, tiga dari enam informan memberikan makna setuju bahwa pemberitaan kekerasan seksual di Magdalene.co menjadikan perempuan sebagai korban dilindungi sesuai dengan seharusnya media memberitakan secara netral dan tidak menyudutkan korbannya yaitu perempuan. Bentuk pemaknaan seperti ini terjadi pada informan yang mempunyai latar belakang pengetahuan yang cukup banyak tentang perempuan. Jadi faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya makna yaitu pengalaman pribadi, minat, umur dan pekerjaan membuat mereka mempunyai cara pandang yang berbeda-beda dalam menafsirkan suatu fenomena. | |||||||||
