Abstract

The implementation of science learning is not only limited to the ability of students to memorize and passively listen to explanations from the teacher, but in science learning students must play an active role in finding out the concepts to be studied so that in practice it requires a method to solveproblems about nature systematically so that students get a deep understanding and are able to solve problems related to natural phenomena around them. Efforts that can be made are by applying Problem-Based Learning-based learning to foster students' problem-solving abilities. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of validity and legibility of the E-Module based on Problem Based Learning with the Theme of Substance Pressure to Grow the Problem Solving Ability of Grade VIII Middle School Students. This development research refers to the Thiagarajan model which consists of 3 stages, namely the define, design and develop stages. The expert subjects and the readability test in this study were 2 material expert lecturers, 2 teaching material expertlecturers, 3 practitioner experts and 30 grade VIII junior high school students. Data was collected using interview sheets, validation sheets, and readability questionnaires to determine the validator's assessment and student readability of the developed E-Module product. The results of the validity of the E-Module obtained an average percentage of 87.25% with a very valid category. After being revised, a readability test was then carried out on students and obtaining a percentage of 90.65% in the very good category so that the E-Module created contained understandable material, the language used was easy to understand, and the writing of letters and pictures was appropriate.

Additional Information: Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA tidak hanya terbatas pada kemampuan peserta didik dalam menghafal dan pasif mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru saja akan tetapi dalam pembelajaran IPA peserta didik harus berperan aktif dalam mencari tahu konsep yang akan dipelajari sehingga dalam pelaksanaannya membutuhkan suatu metode untuk memecahkan permasalahan tentang alam secara sistematis agar peserta didik mendapatkan pemahaman yang mendalam dan mampu memecahkan masalah terkait gejala alam yang ada di sekitar. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis Problem Based Learninguntuk menumbuhkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah peserta didik.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kevalidan dan tingkat keterbacaan E-Modulberbasis Problem Based LearningTema Tekanan Zat Untuk Menumbuhkan Kemampuan Memecahkan Masalah Siswa SMP Kelas VIII. Penelitian pengembanan ini mengacu pada model Thiagarajan yang terdiri dari 3 tahapan yaitu tahap define, design dan develop. Subjek dalam penelitianini yaitu 2 dosen ahli materi, 2 dosen ahli bahanajar, 3 ahli praktisi dan 30 siswa SMP kelas VIII. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar wawancara, lembar validasi, dan angket keterbacaan untuk mengetahui penilaian validator dan keterbacaan siswa terhadap produk E-Modul yang dikembangkan. Hasil kevalidan E-Modul memperoleh rata-rata persentase 87,25% dengan kategori sangat valid. Setelah direvisi, selanjutnya dilakukan uji keterbacaan kepada siswa dan memperoleh persentase sebesar 90,65 % dengan kategori sangat baik sehingga E-Modul yang dibuat telah memuat materi yang dapat dipahami, bahasa yang digunakan mudah dipahami, serta penulisan huruf dan gambar telah sesuai.
