Abstract

The construction and management of dams aims to increase the usefulness of water resources functions, water reservation, control of water destructive power and the function of securing mine waste or sludge storage. in addition to great benefits, dams also have a risk of failure that threatens safety downstream of the dam. Dam failure is the collapse or partial movement of a dam or foundation that results in the release of large amounts of water and endangers downstream residents and property. The causes of dam failure that commonly occur in earthfill and rockfill dams are overtopping and internal erosion with an incidence percentage of 48% and 46.5%. As a result of the collapse, the water stored in the dam will flow into the river valley downstream of the dam with a large discharge and high flood water flow velocity. This study aims to obtain the magnitude of the planned flood discharge in the Karian Reservoir with HSS Nakayasu and Snyder in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, 25 years, 100 years, 200 years, 1000 years, and PMF. As well as knowing the water level in the Karian Reservoir. In the Nakayasu HSS results obtained Level Pool Routing results with peak elevations in the reservoir are 1.28 m, 1.78 m, 2.18 m, 2.78 m, 3.26 m, 3.80 m, 4.39 m, 6.05 m, 7.34 m. as well as peak elevations in the reservoir reservoir reservoir reservoir are 58.78 m, 59.28 m, 59.68 m, 60.28 m,60.76 m, 61.30 m, 61.89 m, 63.53 m, 64.84m. In the HSS Snyder results, the Level Pool Routing results were obtained with peak elevations in the reservoir of 1.86 m, 2.58 m, 3.14 m, 3.96 m, 4.612 m, 5.35 m, 6.155 m, 8.39 m, 10.09 m. and peak reservoir storage elevations of 59.36 m, 60.08 m, 60.64 m, 61.46 m, 62.112 m, 62.85 m, 63.66 m, 65.89 m, 67.59 m.

Additional Information: Pembangunan dan pengelolaan bendungan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemanfaatan fungsi sumber daya air, pengawetan air, pengendalian daya rusak air dan fungsi pengamanan tampungan limbah tambang atau lumpur.selain manfaat yang besar, bendungan juga memiliki risiko kegagalan yang mengancam keselamatan di hilir bendungan. Kegagalan bendungan adalah runtuhnya atau pergerakan sebagian dari bendungan atau pondasi yang mengakibatkan terlepasnya air dalam jumlah besar dan membahayakan penduduk dan properti di hilirnya Penyebab kegagalan bendungan yang umumnya terjadi pada bendungan earthfill dan rockfill adalah overtoping dan erosi internal dengan persentase kejadian 48% dan 46,5%. Akibat keruntuhan tersebut, air yang tertampung di bendungan akan mengalir ke lembah sungai di hilir bendungan dengan debit yang besar serta kecepatan aliran air banjir yang tinggi. Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mendapatkan besarnya debit banjir rencana pada Waduk Karian dengan HSS Nakayasu dan Snyder kala ulang 2 tahun,5 tahun,10 tahun,25 tahun,100 tahun, 200 tahun,1000 tahun,serta PMF. Serta mengetahui permukaan air pada Waduk Karian. Pada hasil HSS Nakayasu didapatkan hasil Level Pool Routing dengan ketinggian puncak pada waduk yaitu 1,28 m, 1,78 m, 2,18 m, 2,78 m, 3,26 m, 3,80 m, 4,39 m, 6,05 m, 7,34 m. serta elevasi puncak pada tampungan waduk yaitu 58,78 m, 59,28 m, 59,68 m, 60,28 m, 60,76 m, 61,30 m, 61,89 m, 63,53 m, 64,84 m. Pada hasil HSS Snyder didapatkan hasil Level Pool Routing dengan ketinggian puncak pada waduk yaitu 1,86 m, 2,58 m, 3,14 m, 3,96 m, 4,612 m, 5,35 m, 6,155 m, 8,39 m, 10,09 m. serta elevasi puncak tampungan waduk 59,36 m, 60,08 m, 60,64 m, 61,46 m, 62,112 m, 62,85 m, 63,66 m, 65,89 m, 67,59 m.
