Abstract

Website-based modules are indispensable in the midst of advances in science and technology. Website-based modules can help students in the independent learning process because they can be accessed in various places and times. One of the chemistry materials that students find difficult is electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. Material is abstract and complex, so students need to be more active in the learning process. So that students are not passive in learning, it is necessary to involve aspects of chemistry skills, namely Science Process Skills. The purpose of this study was to improve students' science process skills after implementing a website-based module on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions and to find out students' responses to using the website-based module. This study used a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample involved in this research was 38 X MIPA 3 students. The improvement of students' science process skills was measured through test questions and student responses were measured by questionnaires. The test questions and questionnaire sheets were validated using the Aiken test. Test questions were tested for reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. Data were analyzed statistically using paired sample t test with a significance level of 0.05 and the increase was tested by n-gain test. The results showed that there was an increase in students' science process skills after the website-based module was applied to electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. This can be proven from the n-gain value of 0.9326 which is relatively high and from the 5 KPS indicators measured it is classified as high and based on the results of the student response questionnaire, an average percentage of 83.84% is very high with good category. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that the application of website-based modules can be used by students in the learning process both online and offline and students' science process skills increase.
