Abstract
The development of various business units at the national, regional, and private levels, along with the dynamics that arise within business activities, has led to an increased awareness of corporate social responsibility (CSR). In Indonesia, CSR implementation is a requirement for every company, as stipulated in Article 74 of the Company Law. In this study, the researcher selected Bank BJB KCK Banten and Bank Indonesia KPW Banten, both of which are state-owned regional banks, to investigate their CSR practices. These companies are mandated to carry out CSR activities in accordance with the regulations stated in POJK Number 51 Article 1 Number 5 POJK. This research adopts a qualitative approach, specifically the case study method, focusing on Bank BJB KCK Banten and Bank Indonesia Province of Banten. Data collection techniques involve observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. Data analysis includes data reduction, with data validity ensured through triangulation. The research findings indicate differences in the application of participatory communication between the two banking companies. Bank BJB KCK Banten's CSR efforts primarily concentrate on physical forms and infrastructure development, with less emphasis on community development. Despite utilizing a somewhat structured method, Bank BJB KCK Banten still has room for improvement in maximizing the use of participatory communication in their CSR activities. On the other hand, the researcher concludes that Bank Indonesia KPW Banten employs a distinct approach to their CSR programs. Bank Indonesia KPW Banten considers participatory communication as a key objective of their CSR implementation. They utilize GenBI as an intermediary connecting both parties. The training and skill development provided to GenBI members have transformed GenBI from merely being recipients of Bank Indonesia scholarships into leading agents for Bank Indonesia Province of Banten, effectively bridging the gap with the local community.

Additional Information: | Berkembangnya berbagai unit usaha dari tingkat nasional, daerah sampai dengan swasta dengan segala dinamika yang muncul di tengah-tengah aktifitas usaha, maka kesadaran terhadap tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan juga mengalami peningkatan dengan melakukan corporate sosial responsibility (CSR) yang semakin tahun semakin beragam bentuk pelaksanannya. Di Indonesia sendiri, pelaksanaan CSR merupakan sebuah kewajiban yang perlu dilakukan setiap perusahaan di Indonesia sesuai Pasal 74 UU PT. Pada penelitian ini peneliti memilih Bank BJB KCK Banten dan Bank Indonesia KPW Banten yang keduanya adalah perusahaaan perbankan BUMD dan BUMN yang bertugas dilingkup regional Banten, kedua perusahaan ini diwajibkan melaksanakan CSR sesuai dengan peraturan POJK Nomor 51 Pasal 1 Nomor 5 POJK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni studi kasus, di Bank BJB KCK Banten dan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Banten. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analaisis data dengan mereduksi data, dengan keabsahan data yang digunakan yakni triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi perbedaan penerapan komunikasi partisipatif di kedua perusahaan perbankan ini. Bank BJB KCK Banten masih memfokuskan CSR mereka pada bentuk fisik dan pembangunan infrastruktur dan kurang berfokus pada pengembangan masyarakat di sekitar. Selain itu, meskipun sudah menggunakan metode yang cukup terstruktur, Bank BJB KCK Banten masih memiliki celah dalam memaksimalkan penggunaan komunikasi partisipatif dalam kegiatan CSR mereka. Di lain sisi, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa Bank Indonesia KPW Banten memiliki pendekatan berbeda mengenai program CSR mereka. Bank Indonesia KPW Banten menjadikan komunikasi partisipatif sebagai tujuan dari pelaksanaan CSR mereka. Bank Indonesia KPW Banten menjadikan GenBI sebagai perpanjangan tangan yang menjadi penghubung kedua pihak. Pelatihan dan pengembangan skill anggota GenBI telah membuat GenBI lebih dari sekedar komunitas penerima beasiswa Bank Indonesia, namun menjadi agen terdepan Bank Indonesia Provinsi Banten dalam memperkecil jarak dengan masyarakat. | |||||||||
