Abstract

The background of this research is the problem of unresponsive mindsets, unfocused students during teaching and learning activities, and also the problem solving abilities of students who are still not good at PAUD Islami Nurul Falah, Serang-Banten. Puzzle media games are one of the most popular games and are favored by early childhood children and also have value benefits for children's growth and development, one of which can train children's ability to solve problems quickly and easily (practically). The purpose of this study was to see the effect of puzzle media games on practical thinking in children. The research method used is Pre-Experimental Designs with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at PAUD Islami Nurul Falah, Cipocok Jaya sub-district, Cipocok Jaya village, Serang city, Banten with a sample of 24 children. This study uses a research design of One Group Pretest-Posttest, in this case the researcher will use the student report card scores of group B students in the odd semester as the pretest score and the report card score for the even semester as the posttest score. Implementation of data analysis using t test to prove whether the independent variable partially has an influence on the dependent. Furthermore, after testing shows the results of t_count = (2.188) and t_table = (1.714), it can be concluded that there is an influence between Puzzle media games and practical thinking in group B children.

Additional Information: Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah persoalan mengenai pola pikir yang kurang responsif, tidak fokusnya peserta didik saat kegiatan belajar mengajar, dan juga kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang masih kurang baik, di PAUD Islami Nurul Falah, Serang-Banten. Permainan media Puzzle salah satu permainan yang popular dan banyak digemari oleh anak-anak usia dini dan juga memiliki nilai manfaat bagi tumbuh kembang anak, salah satunya dapat melatih kemampuan anak dalam memecahkan masalah dengan cepat dan mudah (praktis). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh permainan media puzzle terhadap berpikir praktis pada anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimental Designs dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PAUD Islami Nurul Falah kecamatan Cipocok Jaya kelurahan Cipocok Jaya kota Serang, Banten dengan sampel sebanyak 24 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian One Grup Pretest-Posttest, dalam hal ini peneliti akan menggunakan nilai rapot peserta didik kelompok B pada semester ganjil sebagai nilai pretest dan nilai raport semester genap sebagai nilai posttest. Pelaksanaan analisis data dengan menggunakan Uji t untuk membuktikan apakah variabel independen secara parsial mempunyai pengaruh terhadap dependen. Selanjutnya setelah dilakukan pengujian menunjukkan hasil t_hitung = (2.188) dan t_tabel = (1.714), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara permainan media Puzzle dengan berpikir praktis pada anak kelompok B.
