Abstract

This research was contucted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Cikuya Village, Sindang Sari Village, Pabuaran, Serang, Banten, at the PT. Bumi Ventila Indonesia, Bogor, and at the Soil and Agroclimatology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University from October to December 2022. This study aimed to determine the effect of lime and P fertilizer on soil pH, available P levels, and growth of caisim plants (Brassica juncea L.) in dry land soil, as well as to determine the relationship between pH and available P levels in dry land soil. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block design with 2 treatment factors with 3 levels and 3 replications. The first factor was lime (dolomite) with levels of 0 t/ha (control), 2 t/ha and 4 t/ha. The second factor was P fertilizer with a level of 0% recommended dose (control), 50% recommended dose, and 100% recommended dose. The result showed that giving lime at a dose of 4t/ha in dry land soil was the best dose that had a significant effect on the fresh weight of caisim plant roots. Application of P fertilizer at 50% of the recommended dose was a dose that tends to be better in increasing the wet weight of caisim plant roots, caisim plant root length, and wet weight of caisim plant canopy. In addition, the results showed that there was an effect given by the treatment of lime and P fertilizer on soil pH and P availability in dry land soils.

Pabuaran, Kab. Serang, Banten, di Laboratorium PT. Bumi Ventila Indonesia, Bogor, dan di Laboratorium Tanah dan Agroklimatologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa pada bulan Oktober sampai Desember tahun 2022. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kapur dan pupuk P terhadap pH tanah, kadar P tersedia, dan pertumbuhan tanaman caisim (Brassica juncea L.) di tanah lahan kering, serta untuk mengetahui hubungan pH terhadap kadar P tersedia pada tanah lahan kering. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan dengan masing-masing 3 taraf dalam 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu kapur (dolomit) dengan taraf 0t/ha (kontrol), 2 t/ha, dan 4t/ha. Faktor kedua yaitu pupuk P dengan taraf 0% dosis anjuran (kontrol), 50% dosis anjuran, dan 100% dosis anjuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kapur dengan dosis 4 t/ha di tanah lahan kering merupakan dosis terbaik yang memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot basah akar tanaman caisim. Pemberian pupuk P sebanyak 50% dari dosis anjuran merupakan dosis yang cenderung lebih baik dalam meningkatkan bobot basah akar tanaman caisim, panjang akar tanaman caisim, dan bobot basah tajuk tanaman caisim. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang diberikan oleh perlakuan pemberian kapur dan pupuk P terhadap pH tanah dan ketersediaan P di tanah lahan kering.
