Abstract
Extension activities are a milestone in making changes to farmers (farmers) in order to increase the productivity of farming, through an agricultural extension that has the ability or competence of agricultural extension can help improve farm productivity and find solutions to various agricultural problems they encounter in the field. The area chosen as the research location is Serang District, with the consideration that the number of extension workers in Serang Regency is low. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the influence of non-formal education on the competence of agricultural extension in Serang District. The method used is survey method with 86 respondents. The result of analysis shows that from 86 respondents dominated by men as many as 55 respondents, with the majority of last education S1 as many as 31 people. In non-formal education conducted by extension workers to the extension of agricultural extension, there is a real influence on the competence of innovation communication, learning management competence, management competence of renewal. While the effect is not real is the competence of understanding the potential of the region, the competence of training management, competence of entrepreneurship management, network system guide competence.

| Additional Information: | Pembangunan pertanian erat kaitannya dengan peranan penyuluh pertanian. Dalam hal pembangunan peranan penyuluh adalah memberdayakan petani agar dapat menolong dirinya sendiri . Kegiatan penyuluhan merupakan tonggak dalam melakukan perubahan kepada pelaku usaha tani(petani) demi meningkatkan produktivitas usaha tani, melalui seorang penyuluh pertanian yang mempunyai kemampuan atau kompetensi penyuluh pertanian dapat membantu meningkatkan produktivitas usaha tani dan mencari solusi berbagai masalah pertanian yang mereka temui dilapangan . Dalam mencari solusi mereka berdiskusi dengan petani , masalah apa yg juga dihadapi oleh para petani. Daerah yang dipilih sebagai lokasi penelitian adalah Kabupaten Serang, dengan pertimbangan bahwa jumlah penyuluh di Kabupaten Serang tergolong rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh pendidikan non formal terhadap kompetensi penyuluh pertanian di Kabupaten Serang. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang didapat dari hasil wawancara dan pengisian kuisioner, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari beberapa literature , internet serta dinas terkait yang mendukung penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dengan sampel 86 responden. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 86 responden didominasi oleh laki-laki sebanyak 55 responden, dengan mayoritas berpendidikan terakhir S1 sebanyak 31 orang. Pada pendidikan non formal yang dilakukan penyuluh terhadap kompetensi penyuluh pertanian, terdapat pengaruh nyata yaitu terhadap kompetensi komunikasi inovasi, kompetensi pengelolaan pembelajaran, kompetensi pengelolaan pembaharuan. | |||||||||
