Abstract
Reading is an important activity, because through reading a person will get many benefits including increasing knowledge, knowing wider information. Judging from the many benefits obtained, therefore humans need encouragement so that people have the desire and interest to read. This study aims to determine (1) TBM Management Process, (2) TBM Management Results on Reading Interest (3) Supporting Factors and Obstacles to TBM Management. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data source of this study consisted of 10 people, namely 1 TBM manager, 1 volunteer and 8 people who joined as members of TBM Damar 26. The results showed that: (1) The stages of management of the Community Reading Gardens (TBM) have fulfilled the procedures that have been set, starting from the Planning Process (Planning) the process is set vision-mission, the purpose of establishing the TBM. Procurement of infrastructure facilities supporting activities, planning the activities of TBM work programs that vary, collection of reading materials that are adequate to increase interest in reading the community in addition, the manager also provides a variety of reading materials and makes a variety of activities that support the interest of the community to read. Organizing Process (orgenaizing) TBM Damar 26 coordinates well with managers, volunteers, and also the community. The Implementation Process (actuating) TBM Damar 26 has carried out its work program in accordance with what has been planned and TBM Damar also holds various activities in collaboration with other agencies or institutions as an effort to meet community literacy needs. The evaluation process (controlling) carried out by managers and volunteers is also accompanied by the education office in the field of non-formal education in the city of Cilegon in carrying out the process of supervision, assistance and evaluation. (2) Increased interest in reading, the success of managers and volunteers in the management process has a good impact on increasing interest in reading and community interest (3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for TBM management, supporting factors consist of volunteer motivation and infrastructure. The inhibiting factor is the manager's expertise.

Additional Information: | Membaca merupakan kegiatan yang penting, kerena melalui membaca seseorang akan memperoleh banyak manfaat diantaranya menambah pengetahuan, mengetahui informasi yang lebih luas lagi. Dilihat dari banyaknya manfaat yang diperoleh, oleh karena itu manusia perlu adanya dorongan agar masyarakat memiliki keinginan dan minat untuk membaca. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Proses Pengelolaan TBM, (2) Hasil Pengelolaan TBM terhadap Minat Membaca (3) Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat Pengeloaan TBM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deksriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari 10 orang yaitu 1 orang pengelola TBM, 1 orang relawan dan 8 orang masyarakat yang bergabung menjadi anggota TBM Damar 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Tahapan pengelolaan Taman Bacaan masyarakat (TBM) sudah memenuhi prosedur yang telah ditetapkan, mulai dari Proses Perencanaan (Planning) prosesnya di tetapkan visi-misi, tujuan didirikannya TBM. Pengadaan sarana prasarana fasilitas pendukung kegiatan, perencanaan kegiatan-kegiatan program kerja TBM yang bervariasi, koleksi bahan bacan yang memadai untuk meningkatkan minat membaca masyarakat selain itu juga pengelola menyediakan bahan bacaan bervariasi dan membuat berbagai macam kegiatan-kegiatan yang mendukung minat masyarakat untuk membaca. Proses Pengorganisasian (orgenaizing) TBM Damar 26 melakukan koordinasi yang baik dengan pengelola, relwan, dan juga masyarakat. Proses Pelaksanaan (actuating) TBM Damar 26 sudah menjalankan program kerjanya sesuai dengan apa yang telah direncanakan dan TBM Damar juga mengadakan kegiatan yang bervariasi bekerjasama dengan instansi atau lembaga lainnya sebagai upaya memenuhi kebutuhan literasi masyarakat. Proses Evaluasi (controlling) yang dilakukan oleh pengelola dan relawan juga didampingi dinas pendidikan bidang pendidikan nonformal kota cilegon dalam melaksanakan proses pengawasan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. (2) Peningkatan Minat membaca, keberhasilan pengelola dan relawan dalam proses pengelolaan membawa dampak baik terhadap peningkatan minat membaca dan ketertarikan masyarakat (3) Faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengelolaan TBM, faktor pendukung terdiri dari Motivasi relawan dan sarana prasarana.
