Abstract
Unemployment is a highly complex problem as it is influenced by and at the same time, influences several interacting factors. Currently, we are in the midst of the globalization era, which undoubtedly makes job competition even more challenging. Indonesia has graduated millions of students, but not all of them are able to pursue higher education or enter the workforce due to the limited skills required in the job market. In this regard, the role of non-formal education is necessary as a complement to formal education. Participating in training programs to enhance skills and abilities is one effort to compete in the current era of globalization. English language proficiency is crucial to be competitive in the job market, both nationally and internationally, considering that we are already in the era of globalization. Based on the existing issues, the author conducted research at the Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah (PPKD) Jakarta Pusat, which aims to develop hobbies and enhance skills in the competitive job market. The research utilized a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. In the English language training at the PPKD, participants were equipped with English language materials to become Professional Administrative Staff. Based on the research findings, the English language training program showed an improvement in skills and motivation among the participants, referring to the three domains of intellect: cognitive (knowledge), affective (attitude), and psychomotor (skills).

| Additional Information: | Pengangguran merupakan masalah yang sangat kompleks karena mempengaruhi sekaligus dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor yang saling berinteraksi. saat ini era globalisasi sedang berlangsung yang tentu akan semakin sulit dalam persaingan dunia kerja. Indonesia telah meluluskan jutaan siswa, tetapi tidak semuanya mampu melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi atau siap kerja karena terbatasnya skill yang dibutuhkan dunia kerja. Dalam hal ini peran pendidikan non formal diperlukan sebagai penambah pendidikan formal. Mengikuti program pelatihan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemampuan menjadi salah satu upaya untuk dapat bersaing di era globalisasi saat ini. Bahasa Inggris merupakan hal yang penting untuk dikuasai agar dapat bersaing di pasar kerja, baik nasional maupun internasional, mengingat kita sudah berada di era globalisasi. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang ada, penulis melakukan penelitian di Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah Jakarta Pusat untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat yang dapat mengembangkan hobi dan mengembangkan keterampilan dalam memasuki dunia kerja yang kompetitif. Menggunakan metode dalam bentuk deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam pelatihan Bahasa Inggris di PPKD peserta dibekali materi Bahasa Inggris untuk menjadi Tenaga Administrasi Profesional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian hasil program pelatihan bahasa inggris menunjukan adanya peningkatan keterampilan dan motivasi pada diri peserta pelatihan mengacu pada indikator 3 ranah intelektual yaitu, Kognitif (Pengetahuan), Afektif (Sikap), dan Psikomotorik (Keterampilan). | |||||||||
