Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Total Qaulity Management (TQM) practices on business performance by quality culture and competitiveness as intervening variable at UMKM Coffee Shop in Serang Region. The research method uses quantitative methods.. The research population is UMKM coffee shop in Serang region. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the sampling method gave the questionnaires to the head shop and production staff, so the sample in this study was 88 respondents. Data analysis used PLS (Partial Least Square) using the SMARTPLS (Partial Least Square) (PLS) version 3 program for students. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it is known that: (1) Total Quality Management practices has a positive effect on business performance (2) Total Quality Management practices has a positive effect on quality culture, (3) Total Quality Management practices has a positive effect on competitiveness, (4) Quality culture does not positive effect on business performance, (5) competitiveness has positive effect on business performance, (6) Total Quality Management practices does not a positive effect on business performance by quality culture (7) Total Quality Management practices on business performance by competitiveness has a positive but aren’t siginificant.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian tugas akhir (Skripsi) ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh praktik Total Quality Management terhadap kinerja usaha, melalui budaya kualitas dan daya saing sebagai variabel intervening pada UMKM Kedai Kopi di wilayah Serang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan populasinya adalah seluruh UMKM kedai kopi di wilayah Serang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh, maka jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 88 responden dan kuesioner diberikan kepada pemilik kedai atau pengelola, teknik analisis data menggunakan PLS (Partial Least Square) dengan menggunakan program SMARTPLS (Partial Least Square) versi 3 for students. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diketahui bahwa: (1) Total Quality Management berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja usaha, (2) Total Quality Management berpengaruh positif terhadap budaya kualitas, (3) Total Quality Management berpengaruh positif terhadap daya saing., (4) Budaya Kualitas tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja usaha, (5) Daya Saing berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja usaha, (6) Total Quality Management tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja usaha melalui Budaya Kualitas, (7) Total Quality Management tidak berpengaruh signifikan namun positif terhadap kinerja usaha melalui daya saing
