Abstract

This research was carried out in response to the frequent appearance of news about the problem of the rob flood that occurred due to the occurrence of an eclipse due to Newton's gravity. On the other hand, it has been known from the results of PISA 2018 that in general the literacy of science students in Indonesia is low. To deal with these problems, schools can get students accustomed to training science literacy using teaching material based on socioscientific issues (SSI). The purpose of this research was to know the process of reconstruction of SSI teaching material, knew the results of the validation of materials and media-language experts against teaching material, and knew the student's response to teaching material. This R&D research used the ADDIE model. The research has successfully reconstructed the teaching material of newton gravitational into digital and SSI gradual forms on highly qualified. In the process of reconstruction is carried out through five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This teaching material is supported by the fliphtml5 website. The results of the validation of the expert material obtained presentations 91.8% with the category highly qualified and the media-language expert validation received 87.96% in the category highly qualified. The student’s response was 87.79% which was highly qualified.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dilatarbelakangi sering munculnya berita-berita mengenai isu banjir rob yang terjadi akibat adanya gerhana akibat gravitasi newton. Dilain sisi, telah diketahui dari hasil PISA 2018 bahwa secara umum literasi sains siswa di indonesia rendah. Untuk menyikapi hal tersebut, sekolah dapat membiasakan siswa untuk melatih literasi sains dengan menggunakan bahan ajar yang berbasis socioscientific issue (SSI). Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses rekontruksi bahan ajar SSI, mengetahui hasil validasi ahli materi dan media-bahasa terhadap bahan ajar, dan mengetahui respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Penelitian R&D ini menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini telah berhasil merekontruksi bahan ajar kedalam bentuk digital dan bertahapan SSI pada materi gravitasi newton yang berkategorikan sangat layak. Dalam prosesnya, rekontruksi dilakukan melalui lima tahapan yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi dan evaluasi. Bahan ajar dibantu dengan website fliphtml5. Hasil validasi ahli materi diperoleh presentase 91,8% dengan kategori sangat layak dan validasi ahli media-bahasa diperoleh 87,96% berkategori sangat layak. Respon siswa yang didapatkan yaitu sebesar 87,79% yang berkategori sangat baik.
