Abstract

The ability of teachers will affect the implementation in learning. So it cannot be denied the impact that educators must be able to compile learning plans so that the implementation of learning runs effectively and efficiently. Not only teachers but prospective teachers must also be able to compile teaching tools. The process in the preparation of teaching tools is not as easy as expected because it must adjust to the needs of students, materials, curriculum and others. Over time, the curriculum in Indonesia underwent several curriculum changes. The latest curriculum at this time is the independent curriculum. One of the independent curriculum policies is the change of RPP into teaching modules. This makes the components in the independent curriculum planning (teaching module) more complex than the previous planning (RPP). The novelty of teaching modules also makes prospective teacher students still experience difficulties in compiling teaching modules. So that researchers conducted research with the aim of determining the ability of prospective mathematics teacher students in compiling teaching modules based on an independent curriculum. With the method used descriptive qualitative method. Because according to Anggito &; Setiawan, (2018) explained that qualitative research is a way of collecting data to explain events that occur clearly, by prioritizing meaning over generalization and researchers as key instruments. The research subjects were addressed to five Untirta Mathematics education students who taught PPLK courses, who received school placements that had implemented an independent curriculum. Two mathematics teachers from SMPN 3 Kota Serang, and SMPN 5 Satu Atap Gunungkencana as reviewers. The research procedure is carried out through three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the data analysis stage (drawing conclusions). The preparation stages include initial observation, determining data sources, preparing research instruments and instrument validation. The implementation stage is by distributing questionnaires to students, student interviews, taking teaching module documents, reviewing modules, and teacher interviews. Furthermore, all data obtained are carried out data analysis and withdrawal of conclusions. So the results were obtained that the ability of prospective mathematics teacher students in compiling teaching modules based on the independent curriculum was good.

Additional Information: Kemampuan guru akan berpengaruh terhadap pelaksanaan dalam pembelajaran. Sehingga tidak dapat dipungkiri dampaknya bahwa pendidik harus mampu menyusun rencana belajar agar pelaksanaan pembelajaran berjalan secara efektif dan efisien. Bukan hanya guru melainkan calon guru juga harus mampu menyusun perangkat ajar. Proses dalam penyusunan perangkat ajar tidak semudah yang diperkirakan karena harus menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik, materi, kurikulum dan lainnya. Seiring berjalannya waktu, kurikulum di Indonesia mengalami beberapa kali perubahan kurikulum. Kurikulum terbaru saat ini yakni kurikulum merdeka. Salah satu kebijakan kurikulum merdeka yaitu perubahan rpp menjadi modul ajar. Hal ini menjadikan komponen-komponen yang ada didalam perencanaan kurikulum merdeka (modul ajar) menjadi lebih kompleks dibandingkan dengan perencanaan sebelumnya (RPP). Keterbaharuan modul ajar juga menjadikan mahasiswa calon guru masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun modul ajar. Sehingga peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis kurikulum merdeka. Dengan metode yang digunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Karena menurut Anggito & Setiawan, (2018) menjelaskan bahwa penelitian kualitatif adalah suatu cara mengumpulkan data untuk menjelaskan kejadian yang terjadi secara jelas, dengan mengedepankan makna dibandingkan generalisasi dan peneliti sebagai instrument kunci. Subjek penelitian ditujukan kepada lima mahasiswa pendidikan Matematika Untirta yang mengampu mata kuliah PPLK, yang mendapatkan penempatan sekolah yang sudah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Dua guru matematika dari SMPN 3 Kota Serang, dan SMPN 5 Satu Atap Gunungkencana sebagai penelaah. Adapun prosedur penelitian yang dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu tahapan persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap analisis data (penarikan kesimpulan). Tahapan persiapan melputi observasi awal, menetukan sumber data, mempersiapkan instrument penelitian dan validasi instrument. Tahap pelaksanaan dengan menyebarkan angket kepada mahasiswa, wawancara mahasiswa, pengambilan dokumen modul ajar, telaah modul, dan wawancara guru. Selanjutnya, semua data yang didapat dilakukan analisis data dan penarikan keisimpulan. Maka diperoleh hasil bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis kurikulum merdeka tergolong baik.
