Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and factors underlying the use of code mixing in the Oriflame buying and selling process conversations on Instagram social media. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques. observation techniques and note-taking techniques. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves, besides that the researchers used data cards as a tool in recording data at the data grouping stage. The source of the data in this study was conversations between sources and partners in the buying and selling process of Oriflame on Instagram social media. The data in this study are speech containing code mixing in the Oriflame buying and selling process on Instagram social media. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions are drawn: (1) there are three forms of code mixing in conversations, namely internal code mixing, external code mixing, and code mixing. The most common form of code mixing found in this study was the external form of code mixing which consisted of 45 data. (2) the factors underlying the use of code mixing in Oriflame buying and selling conversations on Instagram social media include 2 factors, linguistic factors and non-linguistic factors. The social value factor is the most common factor found in this study.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan faktor yang melatarbelakangi penggunaan campur kode pada percakapan proses jual beli Oriflame di media sosial Instagram. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, teknik simak dan teknik catat. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yaitu peneliti sendiri, selain itu peneliti menggunakan kartu data sebagai alat bantu dalam pencatatan data pada tahap pengelompokan data. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu percakapan dari penutur dan mitra tutur dalam proses jual beli Oriflame di media sosial instagram. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu tuturan yang mengandung campur kode pada proses jual beli Oriflame di media sosial instagram. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dikemukakan simpulan sebagai berikut: (1) ditemukan tiga bentuk campur kode pada percakapan tersebut, yaitu campur kode ke dalam, campur kode ke luar dan campur kode campuran. Bentuk campur kode yang terbanyak ditemukan pada penelitian ini yaitu bentuk campur kode ke luar, yakni sebanyak 45 data. (2) faktor yang melatarbelakangi penggunaan campur kode pada percakapan jual beli Oriflame di media sosial instagram meliputi 2 faktor, faktor kebahasaan dan faktor non kebahasaan. Faktor kebahasaan social value merupakan faktor yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini.
