Abstract

This research relates to the Role of the Teacher in the Use of Toilet Training to Increase the Independence of Children Aged 4-5 Years at RA Al-Izah, Serang City. In this study the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method where data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, documentation and field notes from children's activities and the teacher's role in using toilet training at RA Al-Izzah. This study aims to describe how the Role of the Teacher in the Use of Toilet Training to Increase Independence. The research results show that the use of toilet training requires planning, implementation and evaluation. The role of the teacher at RA Al-Izzah as a facilitator, inspirer, mentor, motivator, mediator has been running and implemented in accordance with their respective roles and functions. This can be seen from the advantages that exist in RA al-izzah, namely the toilet which is located close to the children (in the classroom). The development of children's independence at RA Al-Izzah has developed well, one of which is that children are able and dare to go to the toilet by themselves and do their own activities in the toilet.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini berkaitan tentang Peran Guru dalam Penggunaan Toilet Training untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun di RA Al-Izah Kota Serang. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dimana pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan dari aktivitas anak dan peran guru dalam penggunaan toilet training di RA Al-Izzah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana Peran Guru dalam Penggunaan Toilet Training untuk Meningkatkan Kemandirian. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan toilet training membutuhkan perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta evaluasi. Peran guru di RA Al-Izzah sebagai fasilitator, inspirator, pembimbing, motivator, mediator sudah berjalan dan dilaksanakan sesuai dengan peran dan fungsinya masing-masing. Hal ini dapat terlihat dari kelebihan yang ada di RA al-izzah yaitu toilet yang letaknya dekat dengan anak (di dalam kelas). Perkembangan kemandirian anak di RA Al-Izzah sudah berkembang dengan baik, salah satunya anak sudah mampu dan berani ke toilet sendiri serta melakukan aktivitas sendiri di toilet.
