Abstract
21st century skills are skills that students need to have in order to be able to compete in real life in the 21st century, one of which is the ability to think creatively. For this reason, a learning model is needed that can improve 21st century skills. Learning models that can improve 21st century skills include project-based learning models. This study aims to determine the increase in the creative thinking skills of class XI students by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on sound waves material. This research was carried out at MAN 2 Serang City for the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental, with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design approach. The research sample was 34 students in class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class and 34 students in class XI IPA 6 as the control class. Data collection was carried out through tests of creative thinking skills and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the average N-gain value for the experimental class was 0.49 and for the control class was 0.38, which is in the medium category. This shows that the students' creative thinking skills in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class. Student responses to learning using the PjBL model are in the very good category. The difference with previous research is that there has never been a study using the PjBL model on sound wave material by making a sound wave experiment apparatus.

Additional Information: | Keterampilan abad 21 merupakan keterampilan utama yang perlu dimiliki seorang siswa agar dapat bersaing dalam kehidupan nyata di abad 21, salah satunya yaitu kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Untuk itu sangat diperlukan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatakan keterampilan abad 21. Model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 diantaranya model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan dari keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas XI dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi gelombang bunyi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Kota Serang tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment, dengan pendekatan penelitian Pretest-Posttest nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian yaitu 34 siswa kelas XI IPA 5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 34 siswa kelas XI IPA 6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melalui tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai N-gain kelas eksperimen 0,49 dan kelas kontrol 0,38, yang berada pada kategori sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model PjBL berada pada kategori sangat baik. Perbedaan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yaitu, belum pernah ada penelitian yang menggunakan model PjBL pada materi gelombang bunyi dengan pembuatan alat sound wave experiment apparatus. | |||||||||
