Abstract
This research aims to determine the assessment of financial performance and factors that cause a decline in the financial performance of PT. Astra International Tbk. as reviewed from profitability ratios for the period 2018-2022. This writing method is conducted through quantitative descriptive approach. The research findings indicate that the financial performance assessment of PT. Astra International Tbk. has experienced both improvement and decline. Significant improvements in Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, and Return on Equity were observed in 2022, while decreases were recorded in 2020 for Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, and Return on Equity. The factors contributing to the decline in the performance of PT. Astra International Tbk. include poor control of operational costs, ineffective utilization of assets and equity to generate company profits, and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the company.

Astra International Tbk. yang di tinjau dari rasio profitabilitas periode 2018-2022. Metode penulisan ini dilakukan dengan cara kuantitatif deskriptif, adapun hasil penelitian adalah penilaian kinerja keuangan PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. mengalami peningkatan dan penurunan. Adapun peningkatan yang signifikan untuk Net Profit Margin, Return on Asset, dan Return on Equityterjadi pada tahun 2022, sedangkan pada tahun 2020 untuk Net Profit Margin, Return on Asset, dan Return on Equitymengalami penurunan dan faktor yang menyebabkan penurunan kinerja PT. Astra Internasional Tbk. disebabkan adanya control biaya operasional yang kurang baik, perusahaan tidak bisa menggunakan aset dan ekuitas dengan baik dalam menghasilkan laba perusahaan, dan terjadinya pandemi Covid-19yang terdampak pada perusahaan. | |||||||||
