Abstract
Betawi culture over time loses its meaning in it due to the rapid flow of urbanization and results in the entry of new cultures into Jakarta which of course affects the existence of the Betawi ethnicity itself which is slowly disappearing and it is undeniable that the development of the times continues to occur from time to time resulting in local culture experiencing cultural identity crisis and the lack of a forum and environment that together build efforts to preserve Betawi ethnic culture which of course refers to cultural identity, this research aims to find out the dynamics and transitions in the Betawi ethnic identity crisis problem, what are the challenges in facing the ethnic identity crisis Betawi and what efforts can be made to deal with this cultural identity crisis. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, which focuses on modification as an answer to the cultural crisis and of course it will be adjusted to the current period then in the data collection itself, the technique used is triangulation so in this case the conclusion is the dynamics and transitions in the problem the crisis of Betawi ethnic identity is clearly visible, Jakarta continues to develop following the development and construction style of the world's modern cities, hotels, apartments, malls are competing to plant their concrete pillars while eroding the villages of the local community, Betawi people and all traditionalistic cultural elements slowly but surely eroded by modernity to urbanization and the development of the times in the era of globalization is also a challenge in dealing with the identity crisis. For this reason, cultural modification is a strong effort in dealing with identity crises because it is in accordance with the current era and adapts n also with the current generation without losing the original values in that culture.

| Additional Information: | Budaya betawi seiring waktu semakin kehilangan makna didalamnya dikarenakan arus urbanisasi yang pesat dan mengakibatkan masuknya kebudayaan baru ke Jakarta yang tentunya berpengaruh kepada eksistensi dari etnis Betawi ini sendiri yang perlahan hilang dan tidak dapat dipungkiri perkembangan zaman terus terjadi dari masa ke masa yang mengakibatkan kebudayaan lokal mengalami krisis identitas budaya serta kurangnya wadah serta lingkungan yang sama-sama membangun upaya pelestarian kebudayaan etnis Betawi yang tentunya merujuk kepada identitas budaya maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika dan transisi dalam permasalahan krisis identitas etnis Betawi, apa sajakah yang menjadi tantangan dalam menghadapi krisis identitas etnis Betawi serta upaya apa sajakah yang dapat dilakukan untuk menghadapi krisis identitas budaya tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, yang fokusnya kepada modifikasi sebagai jawaban krisis budaya dan tentunya akan disesuaikan pada masa saat ini kemudian dalam pengumpulan data itu sendiri, teknik yang digunakan adalah triangulasi jadi dalam hal ini kesimpulannya adalah dinamika dan transisi dalam permasalahan krisis identitas etnis Betawi secara nyata terlihat, Jakarta terus berkembang mengikuti gaya pengembangan dan pembangunan kota-kota modern dunia, hotel, apartemen, mal berlomba menancapkan tiang-tiang betonnya seraya menggerus perkampungan masyarakat lokalnya, masyarakat Betawi beserta seluruh unsur budaya yang tradisionalistis perlahan tapi pasti tergerus oleh modernitas jadi urbanisasi dan perkembangan zaman di era globalisasi juga menjadi tantangan dalam menghadapi krisis identitas tersebut untuk itulah modifikasi budaya menjadi upaya kuat dalam menghadapi krisis identitas karena sesuai dengan zaman saat ini dan menyesuaikan juga dengan generasi saat ini tanpa menghilangkan nilai asli dalam budaya tersebut. | |||||||||
