Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of applying the problem-based learning model to the mathematical cognitive studies class V SDN Cigabus. The research method used in this study was quasi-experimental, with the design used in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample used in this study class VA as experimental class 1, totaling 25 students using the Problem based learning model and class VB as experimental class 2, totaling 25 students using the direct intruction model. The analysis technique in this study is the Uji-T. Based on the calculation results, it was obtained a comparison of the test criteria between thitung ≥ ttabel or 2.01 ≥ 1.42. From these results it was stated that there were differences in students' mathematical cognitive abilities between experimental class 1 and experimental class 2,.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh penerapan model Problem based learning terhadap kemampuan kognitif matematik peserta ddik kelas V A di SDN Cigabus. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain yang digunakan berbentuk Nonequivalent Control Grup Desain. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V A sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 yang berjumlah 25 siswa dengan menggunakan model Problem based learning dan kela V B sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 yang berjumlah 25 peserta didik dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Teknik analisis pada penelitian ini adalah Uji-T. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan diperoleh kriteria pengujian antara thitung ≥ ttabel atau 2,01 ≥ 1,42 dari hasil itulah dinyatakan bahwa adanya perbedaan kemampuan kognitif matematik peserta didik antara kelas eksperimen 1 dengan kelas eksperimen 2.
