Abstract

This research is based on the students' difficulties in understanding the concept of congruent shapes and applying them to real situations. The aim of this research is to design a learning design for congruency with Geogebra using the Geogebra historical building context. This study uses a qualitative approach with a design research method which consists of three stages, namely, experimental preparation, experimental implementation, and retrospective analysis. Data collection was carried out using several techniques, namely observation, video recording, interviews during learning activities, and tests. This research was conducted in 2 cycles at SMP Negeri 3 Kota Serang. The research subjects were students of class IX C (first cycle) and IX A (second cycle). The results of the study show that the use of the context of historic buildings in the old city as a starting point for learning helps students represent the similarity of two-dimensional flat shapes. HLT congruence planes are designed based on the stages of the PBL model which consists of several activities, namely: (1) observing museum images, (2) determining the corresponding parts of the image, (3) finding the same comparison, (4) observing two similar figures, (5) determine the corresponding sides and angles with the help of geogebra, (6) write down the size of the angles and the ratio of the corresponding sides, (7) determine the conditions for congruence of plane shapes, and (8) solve problems related to congruence of planes. The Geogebra-assisted PBL model helps students to understand the congruence material of flat shapes because it is more visualized.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep kesebangunan bangun datar dan mengaplikasikan ke dalam situasi nyata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang desain pembelajaran kesebangunan bangun datar melalui model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Geogebra dengan menggunakan konteks bangunan bersejarah kota tua. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian desain yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu, persiapan eksperimen, pelaksanaan eksperimen, dan analisis retrospektif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik yaitu observasi, rekaman video, wawancara selama kegiatan pembelajaran, dan tes. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 2 siklus di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Serang. Subjek penelitian adalah siswakelas IX C (siklus pertama) dan IX A (siklus kedua). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, Penggunaan konteks bangunan bersejarah kota tua sebagai titik awal pembelajaran untuk membantu siswa merepresentasikan kesamaan bentuk bangun datar dua dimensi. HLT kesebangunan bangun datar dirancang berdasarkan tahapan model PBL yang terdiri dari beberapa aktivitas, yaitu: (1) mengamati gambar museum, (2) menentukan bagian gambar yang bersesuaian, (3) menemukan perbandingan yang sama, (4) mengamati dua bangun datar yang sebangun, (5) menentukan sisi dan sudut yang bersesuaian dengan berbantuan geogebra, (6) menuliskan ukuran sudut dan perbandingan sisi yang bersesuaian, (7) menentukan syarat kesebangunan bangun datar, dan (8) menyelesaikan soal yang berkaitan dengan kesebangunan bangun datar. Model PBL berbantuan Geogebra membantu siswa untuk memahami materi kesebangunan bangun datar karena lebih tervisualisasikan.
