After calculated the data, the researcher found that there was a significant influence of Smart Fingers Technique toward students’ past tense mastery. It proved the value of tcount was higher than the value of ttable (2.32 ≥ 1,99) at the level of significance of α 5% (0.05) and the degree of freedom is 70. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. From those findings, it can be concluded that there was a significant influence of using Smart Fingers Technique to improve students’ past tense mastery at the eighth grade of SMPN 9 Kota Serang.
