Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of priming treatment on the seed vigor of some soybean varieties on drought stress media. This research was conducted in March to April 2023 at the Seed Quality Testing Laboratory, Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Supervision and Certification of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Seeds, Banten Province. This research used a completely randomized design with two factors, the first factor was the priming treatment which consisted of 5 levels (control/without priming, hydropriming aquades, osmopriming PEG-6000 10%, halopriming NaCl 6000 ppm, hormonal priming GA3 75 ppm) and the second factor was soybean varieties consisting of three levels (Dering-1, Argomulyo, Anjasmoro). The fifteen treatment combinations were repeated four times so that there were sixty experimental units in total. The results showed that the priming treatment had a significant effect on soybean seed germination on drought stress media, where hormonal priming using GA3 produced the best effect on the parameters of vigor index, growth speed, growth simultaneity, seed emergence, seed germination and percentage of abnormal sprouts. The variety had a significant effect on soybean seed germination in drought stress media, where the Argomulyo variety produced the best effect on the parameters of vigor index, growth speed, growth simultaneity, seed emergence, seed germination, maximum growth potential and the percentage of abnormal sprouts. There was an interaction between the priming treatment and the variety on the parameters of vigor index, growth speed, growth simultaneity, germination time for 50%, seed emergence, seed germination and the percentage of abnormal sprouts.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan priming terhadap vigor benih beberapa varietas kedelai pada media dengan cekaman kekeringan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai April 2023 di Laboratorium Pengujian Mutu Benih, Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Pengawasan dan Sertifikasi Benih Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura dan Perkebunan (UPTD PSBTPHP), Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan dua faktor, fakor pertama yaitu perlakuan priming yang terdiri dari 5 taraf (kontrol/tanpa priming, hydropriming aquades, osmopriming PEG 6000 10%, Halopriming NaCl 6000 ppm, hormonal priming GA3 75 ppm) dan faktor kedua yaitu varietas kedelai yang terdiri dari tiga taraf (Dering-1, Argomulyo, Anjasmoro). Lima belas kombinasi perlakuan tersebut diulang sebanyak empat kali sehingga seluruhnya terdapat enam puluh satuan percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan priming berpengaruh terhadap perkecambahan benih kedelai pada media dengan cekaman kekeringan, dimana hormonal priming menggunakan GA3 menghasilkan pengaruh yang baik terhadap parameter indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, keserempakkan tumbuh, waktu muncul kecambah, daya berkecambah dan persentase kecambah abnormal. Varietas berpengaruh terhadap perkecambahan benih kedelai pada media dengan cekaman kekeringan, dimana varietas Argomulyo menghasilkan pengaruh yang baik terhadap parameter indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, keserempakkan tumbuh, waktu muncul kecambah, daya berkecambah, potensi tumbuh maksimum dan persentase kecambah abnormal. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan priming dan varietas terhadap parameter indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, keserempakkan tumbuh, waktu berkecambah 50%, waktu muncul kecambah, daya berkecambah dan persentase kecambah abnormal. | |||||||||
