Abstract
Family education is the main education for teenagers growth, to form children into good personalities, starting from toddlers, teenagers and even adults. However, family education will not be optimal if the roles of father and mother are not balanced, the intensity of communication time is lacking, and even the lack of understanding of parents in children's education at home. The fisherman’s community is a community that works by relying on marine resources, so that when the fishing season starts, fisherman will spend a lot of time working, so that the implementation of informal education at home is neglected. Researchers conducted research on fisherman's families, with informants a number of 9 fisherman's parents, and 9 fisherman's children regarding informal education in fisherman's family. This research method used a qualitative descriptive method, and the techniques used in collecting research data were observation, interviews and documentation techniques. In this study, data analysis techniques were carried out through three stages, including the reduction stage, data presentation and verification stage. Based from the results of field research conducted, it shows that informal education activities in fisherman families are not balanced between the roles of mothers and fathers, especially in interacting and helping children's development, fathers tend to spend a lot of time working so they cannot build closer relationships with their children, compared to with mom.

Additional Information: | Pendidikan keluarga adalah pendidikan yang utama bagi pertumbuhan anak, untuk membentuk anak menjadi pribadi yang baik, yang dimulai dari anak balita, remaja hingga dewasa. Akan tetapi, pendidikan keluarga tidak akan maksimal apabila peran ayah dan ibu tidak seimbang, intensitas waktu komunikasi yang kurang, bahkan kurangnya pemahaman orang tua dalam pendidikan anak dirumah. Masyarakat nelayan adalah masyarakat yang bekerja dengan mengandalkan sumber daya lautan, sehingga ketika musim ikan dimulai maka nelayan akan menghabiskan banyak waktu untuk bekerja, sehingga pelaksanaan pendidikan informal dirumah terabaikan. Maka peneliti melakukan penelitian kepada keluarga nelayan, dengan informan sejumlah 9 orang tua nelayan, dan 9 orang anak nelayan mengenai bagaimana praktik pendidikan informal di keluarga nelayan Desa Teluk. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dan teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data penelitian adalah dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, diantaranya tahap reduksi, penyajian data dan tahap verifikasi. Hasil penelitian lapangan yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pendidikan informal di keluarga nelayan tidak seimbang antara peran ibu dan ayah, khususnya dalam berinteraksi dan membantu perkembangan anak, ayah cenderung menghabiskan banyak waktu untuk bekerja sehingga tidak dapat membangun hubungan lebih dekat dengan anaknya, dibandingkan dengan ibu. | |||||||||
