Abstract
This study aimed to find the exact planting space, dosage of eucalyptus waste compost and the interaction between planting space and doses of eucalyptus waste compost on the growth and yield of sweet corn plants. The research method was a two factor Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was the planting space which consisting of 3 levels, i.e: 70 × 25 cm, 70 × 30 cm, and 70 × 35 cm. The second factor was the dose of eucalyptus waste compost which consisting of 3 levels, i.e: 10 tons/ha (3,25 kg/plot), 20 tons/ha (7,28 kg/plot), and 30 tons/ha (12,09 kg/plot). The results showed that planting space had an effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, cob diameter, cob weight with husks per plant, cob weight without cobs per plant, and yield power. Whereas in all treatments the doses of eucalyptus waste compost had no effect on the growth and yield components of sweet corn plants. It was concluded that the planting space treatment had an effect on the parameters of plant height 4 Weeks After Planting (WAP), number of leaves 10 WAP, stem diameters 2, 4, and 10 WAP, cob diameter, cob weight with husks per plant, cob weight without husks per plant, and yield power, whereas in all treatments the eucalyptus waste compost doses had no effect on the growth and yield components of sweet corn plants.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jarak tanam yang tepat dan dosis pupuk kompos limbah kayu putih serta interaksi antara jarak tanam dan dosis pupuk kompos limbah kayu putih terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf, yaitu: 70 × 25 cm, 70 × 30 cm, dan 70 × 35 cm. Faktor kedua adalah dosis kompos limbah kayu putih yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu: 10 ton/ha (3,25 kg/petak), 20 ton/ha (7,28 kg/petak), dan 30 ton/ha (12,09 kg/petak). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam memberikan pengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter pangkal batang, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol berkelobot per tanaman, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot per tanaman, dan daya hasil, sedangkan pada semua perlakuan dosis kompos limbah kayu putih tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap komponen pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan jarak tanam memberikan pengaruh terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 4 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST), jumlah daun 10 MST, diameter pangkal batang 2, 4, dan 10 MST, diameter tongkol, bobot tongkol berkelobot per tanaman, bobot tongkol tanpa kelobot per tanaman, dan daya hasil, sedangkan pada semua perlakuan dosis kompos limbah kayu putih tidak memberikan pengaruh terhadap komponen pertumbuhan dan komponen hasil tanaman jagung manis. | |||||||||
