Abstract

Broadly speaking, the purpose of this study is to find out what factors are causing credit defaults at the Banten Regional Development Bank Cilegon Branch Office, to find out how bad credit impacts the Bank and debtors at the Banten Regional Development Bank Cilegon Branch Office, and to find out the resolution of credit defaults at Banten Regional Development Bank Cilegon Branch Office. The results of observations found that the factors that cause credit defaults are internal factors, namely factors that cause credit defaults originating from the Bank and external factors, namely factors that cause credit defaults originating from outside the Bank that affect the condition of the debtor. Then this observation also found that the impact of credit disturbances on the Bank was that the profits at the Bank decreased and the financial condition of the Bank would be disrupted. Bad loans that occur at the Banten Regional Development Bank can be resolved through non-litigation (without legal channels) such as reconditioning and rescheduling and litigation (with legal channels), namely by executing collateral auctions.
