Abstract
In this millennial era, the main problem that affects of teenager in Indonesia is radicalism among the students, at the time radical is not only spread in universities even though also to infiltrate to the culture of school. Based on this, this study aims reach to find out 1) How is the role of schools to prevent of the overcoming radicalism in SMP Negeri 3 Serang city 2) What is the preventive efforts of school to preventing radicalism in SMP Negeri 3 Serang city 3) What are the factors that cause the students to be exposed to radicalism. The method that has been authors use in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The results of this research is to be obtained were the role of schools in counteracting radicalism, such as trying to provide good act learning in the school behavior. The preventive Schools efforts to preventing the occurrence of radicalism are by carrying out socialization activities to the dangers of radicalism and utilizing the existence of school rules. The factors that causes to the students that be easily exposed to radicalism are internal factors (family) and external factors (environment).

Additional Information: | Di era milenial saat ini permasalahan yang melanda anak muda di Indonesia adalah maraknya paham radikalisme dikalangan siswa/pelajar, saat ini paham radikal bukan hanya tersebar di lingkungan perguruan tinggi melainkan mulai menyusup masuk ke lingkungan persekolahan. Maka, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Bagaimana peran sekolah dalam menangkal radikalisme di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Serang 2) Apa saja upaya preventif sekolah dalam mencegah terjadinya radikalisme di SMP Negeri 3 Kota Serang 3) Apa saja faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa terpapar radikalisme. Metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam penelitian ini hasil yang didapatkan yaitu peran sekolah dalam menangkal radikalisme yaitu berusaha memberikan pembelajaran yang baik di lingkungan sekolah. Upaya preventif sekolah dalam mencegah terjadinya radikalisme yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan sosialisasi tentang bahaya radikalisme dan memanfaatkan adanya tata tertib di sekolah. Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan siswa/siswi mudah terpapar radikalisme yaitu faktor internal (keluarga) dan faktor eksternal (lingkungan). | |||||||||
