Abstract
The purpose of this research was to knowing difference of critical thinking skill of class V students in science subjects through Practical Method based on Inquiry with Lecture Method. This research was conducted in SD Negeri Serang 20 of academic year 2016/2017. This research method is method of experimentation with forms of research Quasi Experimental Design (quasi-experimental) with time series design.The sampling technique used is random sampling. In this research at V A were 34 students as experiment class with applying practical method based on inquiry and at V B were 34 students as control class with applying lecture method. The analysis technique of the first hypothesis use t-test for postest value obtainable -2,00 < 2,02 > 2,00. If – ttabel < thitung > + ttabel therefore Ho rejected and Ha accepted. As for the second hypothesis using t-test for postest value obtainable 2,02 > 1,681. If thitung > ttabel therefore Ho rejected and Ha accepted. Then can be concluded that critical thinking skill of science subject towards the students use of practical method based on inquiry is different and better than students using lecture method.

| Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPA melalui Metode Praktikum berbasis inkuiri dengan Metode Ceramah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Serang 20 tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Metode penelitian ini yaitu metode eksperimen dengan bentuk penelitian Quasi Experimental Design (eksperimen semu). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Serang 20 tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan ialah Random Sampling. Pada penelitian ini kelas V A berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri dan kelas V B berjumlah 34 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dengan penerapan metode ceramah. Teknik analisis data untuk menguji hipotesis 1 dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji perbedaan dua rata-rata nilai postest dengan uji-t diperoleh nilai -2,00 < 2,02 > 2,00, jika - ttabel < thitung > + ttabel, maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Kemudian untuk hipotesis 2 menggunakan uji dua rata-rata nilai postest dengan uji-t diperoleh nilai 2,02 > 1,677. Jika thitung ≥ ttabel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan metode praktikum berbasis inkuiri terdapat perbedaan dan lebih baik dari siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah. | |||||||||
