Abstract

This study aims to develop and to determine the feasibility of virtual reality media based on hydroponic cultivation websites to increase digital literacy (as a learning resource on plant growth and development material). The method used in this study was the research and development method with the ADDE model which consists of analysis, design, development, and evaluation stages. The research conducted at December 2022 to June 2023 at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Greenhouse Banten Biology Farm, and SMAN 2 Serang City. The research subjects were 3 (three) material experts, 3 (three) media experts, 2 (two) biology teachers, and 20 (twenty) class XII students of SMAN 2 Serang City. Based on the results of the individual stage formative evaluation by experts on material aspects, an average value of 94.43% was obtained (very feasible category), the media aspect obtained an average value of 96.67% (very feasible category), and teachers (users) obtained an average value of 97.6% (very decent category). The results of the formative evaluation of the small group test phase conducted on 20 students obtained an average score of 92.68% (feasible category). Based on this assessment, virtual reality based on hydroponic cultivation websites is very suitable to be used as a learning resource on plant growth and development material.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kelayakan media virtual reality berbasis website budidaya hidroponik untuk meningkatkan literasi digital (sebagai sumber belajar pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model ADDE yang terdiri dari tahap analyze, design, develop, dan evaluate. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2022 – Juni 2023 di Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa, Greenhouse Banten Biology Farm, dan SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Subjek penelitian yaitu 3 (tiga) ahli materi, 3 (tiga) ahli media, 2 (dua) guru biologi, dan 20 (dua puluh) siswa kelas XII SMAN 2 Kota Serang. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi formatif tahap perseorangan oleh ahli pada aspek materi diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 94.43% (kategori sangat layak), aspek media diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 96.67% (kategori sangat layak), dan oleh guru (pengguna) diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 97.6% (kategori sangat layak). Hasil evaluasi formatif tahap uji kelompok kecil yang dilakukan kepada 20 orang siswa mendapatkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 92.68% (kategori sangat layak). Berdasarkan penilaian tersebut maka virtual reality berbasis website budidaya hidroponik sangat layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan.
