Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of work discipline and organizational culture on employee performance through external motivation. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a causality approach. The object of this research at PT. Surya Madistrindo, AO Serang used a sample of 151 respondents. The sampling technique I used was a saturated sample/total sample. All populations were drawn into the sample. Questionnaire answers were measured using an interval scale of 1-10. Data were analyzed using the SmartPLS Version 3.29 software. The results of this study state that: 1). Work discipline affects employee performance. 2). Organizational culture influences employee performance. 3). Work discipline influences extrinsic motivation. 4). Organizational culture influences extrinsic motivation 5). Extrinsic motivation influences employee performance. Extrinsic motivation is able to mediate between work discipline and organizational culture in a partial mediation. To be able to improve employee performance can be done by increasing work discipline, organizational culture and extrinsic motivation so that employee performance increases.

Additional Information: | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh disiplin kerja dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi eksternal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kausalitas. Objek penelitian ini pada PT. Surya Madistrindo, AO Serang menggunakan sampel 151 responden teknik sampling yang penulis gunakan yakni sampel jenuh/sampel total, semua populasi ditarik kedalam sampel jawaban kuesioner diukur menggunakan skala interval 1 – 10. Data dianalisis menggunakan bantuan software SmartPLS Versi 3.29. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: 1). Disiplin kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. 2). Budaya organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. 3). Disiplin kerja berpengaruh terhadap motivasi ekstrinsik. 4). Budaya organisasi berpengaruh motivasi ekstrinsik 5). Motivasi ekstrinsik berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Motivasi ekstrinsik mampu memediasi antara disiplin kerja dan budaya organisasi secara mediasi parsial. Untuk dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan dapat dilakukan dengan meningkatkan disiplin kerja, budaya organisasi dan motivasi ekstrinsik sehingga kinerja karyawanpun meningkat. | |||||||||
