Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) melinjo leaves (Gnetum gnemon) on the growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) hydroponically and then the research facts were applied to the concept of plant growth and development in the form of teaching materials. The research method used was an environmental experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) with using three treatments and two repetitions. The treatments in this study consisted of: P0 (100% AB Mix), P1 (100% POC melinjo leaves), and P2 (50% POC melinjo leaves + 50% AB Mix). The average growth of lettuce plants at 28 days after planting was analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that the POC nutrient content of melinjo leaves was low so that the growth of lettuce was not optimal, nevertheless the basedon the Kruskal Wallis test resulted the use of POC melinjo leaves did not produce differences in all plant growth parameters (root length, number of leaves, leaf width, plant height, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, and total chlorophyll content). Furthermore, research facts can be applied as biology learning content on plant growth and development materials in various teaching materials. Teaching materials developed can be in the form of learning modules, student worksheets, interactive teaching materials, and metaverse-based teaching materials (AR and VR).

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik cair (POC) daun melinjo (Gnetum gnemon) pada pertumbuhan tanaman selada (Lactuca sativa) secara hidroponik dan selanjutnya fakta-fakta penelitian diaplikasikan pada konsep pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan dalam bentuk bahan ajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain lingkungan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) tiga perlakuan dan dua kali pengulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari: P0 (100% AB Mix), P1 (100% POC daun melinjo), dan P2 (50% POC daun melinjo+50% AB Mix). Rata-rata pertumbuhan tanaman selada pada 28 hari setelah tanam dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kandungan hara POC daun melinjo rendah sehingga pertumbuhan selada tidak optimal, namun dari hasil uji Kruskal Wallis penggunaan POC daun melinjo tidak menghasilkan perbedaan pada semua parameter pertumbuhan tanaman (panjang akar, jumlah daun, lebar daun, tinggi tanaman, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, dan kadar klorofil total). Lebih lanjut, fakta-fakta penelitian dapat diaplikasikan sebagai konten pembelajaran biologi pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tumbuhan dalam berbagai bahan ajar. Bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat berupa modul pembelajaran, lembar kerja siswa, bahan ajar interaktif, dan bahan ajar berbasis metaverse (AR dan VR).
