Abstract

UMKM Tahu XYZ is one of the processing industries in the city of Cilegon which produces tofu products. Based on the research, problems were found regarding the presence of defects in the products produced. The most defects during the study reached 10%-11% of the total production. The purpose of this study is to determine the types of defects, DPMO values and sigma levels, causal factors and provide suggestions for improvement. The research methods used are Six Sigma and supported by other tools such as affinity diagram, laney P control chart, fishbone diagram, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method and 5W+1H. The results showed that the production data was statistically controlled, the DPMO value was 18,896 with a sigma level of 3, which is the average of the Indonesian industry. Proposed improvements are given based on failure modes that have higher RPN values than critical values. The results of the percentage of product defects after implementation have decreased with the previous percentage of 7% down to 3%.

Additional Information: UMKM Tahu XYZ merupakan salah satu industri pengolahan yang terdapat di kota Cilegon yang memproduksi produk tahu. Berdasarkan penelitian ditemukan permasalahan mengenai adanya defect pada produk yang dihasilkan. Defect terbanyak selama penelitian mencapai 10%-11% dari jumlah produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis defect, nilai DPMO dan level sigma, faktor-faktor penyebab dan memberikan usulan perbaikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Six Sigma dan didukung dengan tools lain seperti diagram afinitas, peta kendali laney P diagram fishbone, metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dan 5W+1H. Hasil penelitian menunjukan data produksi terkendali secara statistik, nilai DPMO sebesar 18.896 dengan level sigma 3 yaitu rata-rata industri Indonesia. Usulan perbaikan diberikan berdasarkan mode kegagalan yang memiliki nilai RPN lebih tinggi daripada nilai kritis. Hasil presentase defect produk setelah implementasi mengalami penurunan dengan presentase sebelumnya 8% turun menjadi 3%.
