Abstract

The scheduling of truck assignments for entry into the port and the scheduling of loading and unloading activities at the dock are essential aspects that a company must possess. Truck congestion resulting from inadequate scheduling of truck assignments entering the dock can lead to congestion and damage to the dock. This is undoubtedly a serious problem that needs to be addressed promptly by utilizing an optimization solution for truck scheduling in the process of loading and unloading dry bulk cargo at PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS). In this study, the Pure - Integer Linear Programming (PILP) method was employed to achieve an optimal solution in the port's loading and unloading scheduling. The research results indicate that the optimal truck assignment schedule and the number of trucks assigned have been computed optimally. The optimal truck assignment schedule spans eight days of the unloading period, with a total of 996 trips completed. Additionally, the optimal number of trucks required is 251 truck units. Consequently, the optimization approach offers an effective solution for managing the scheduling and required number of trucks in efficiently delivering cargo at PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera, thereby expectedly aiding the company in enhancing the effectiveness of cargo handling at the port, reducing truck congestion, and minimizing damage to the dock.

Additional Information: Pengaturan jadwal penugasan truk masuk ke pelabuhan dan penjadwalan bongkar muat di dermaga merupakan suatu hal yang harus dimiliki oleh perusahaan. Kemacetan truk akibat kurangnya pengaturan jadwal penugasan truk yang masuk ke dermaga dapat menyebabkan penumpukan dan kerusakan pada dermaga. Hal ini tentunya menjadi permasalahan serius yang harus segera ditangani dengan menggunakan penyelesaian optimalisasi penjadwalan truk dalam proses bongkar muat kargo curah kering di PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS). Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode Pure - Integer Linear Programming (PILP) untuk mencapai solusi optimal dalam penjadwalan bongkar muat di pelabuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jadwal penugasan serta jumlah truk yang ditugaskan telah terkomputasi secara optimal. Jadwal penugasan truk yang optimal adalah selama delapan hari periode pembongkaran, dengan total 996 ritase yang dapat diselesaikan. Selain itu, jumlah optimal truk yang dibutuhkan adalah sebanyak 251 unit armada truk. Dengan demikian, pendekatan optimasi memberikan solusi efektif untuk mengatur jadwal dan jumlah truk yang dibutuhkan dalam pengiriman kargo secara efisien di PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera sehingga hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu perusahaan dalam meningkatkan efektivitas bongkar muat di pelabuhan, mengurangi kemacetan truk serta kerusakan pada dermaga.
