Abstract

This research aimed to observe the influence of PBL model towords students' cognitive abilities in the concept of human movement systems class XI. The method used was quasi-experimental with randomized control group only research design. The population in this study were all XI MIPA classes at SMAN 5 Serang city. The sample in this study was XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 1 as the control class. The sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used multiple choice test techniques and non-tests in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets as supporting data. The average value of the students' abilities in the experimental class was 75.44 while the average value of the cognitive abilities of the control class students was 68.09. The results of hypothesis testing using the T test at a significant level α = 0.05 obtained a significant value of 0.028 ˂ 0.05 meaning that H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of the PBL learning model on student

Additional Information: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada konsep sistem gerak manusia kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian randomized control group only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA di SMAN 5 Kota Serang. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah XI MIPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara simpel random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tes pilihan ganda dan non tes berupa angket dan lembar observasi sebagai data penunjang. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa kelas eksperimen 75,44 sedangkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas kontrol 68,09. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji T pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,028 ˂ 0,05 artinya H0 ditolak. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran PBL terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa pada konsep sistem gerak manusia kelas XI.
