Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of information and written records, as well as a lack of appreciation from the public for the White Crocodile Art. This study aims to determine the general description and presentation structure of the White Crocodile art. This research was conducted in Curug Dahu Village, Kadu Beureum Village, RT/RW 02/05, Padarincang District, Serang Regency, with the object of White Crocodile Art. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and observations with relevant sources as well as library data and documentation. The result of this research is to find a general description of the history and structure of the presentation of the White Crocodile Bride Ngarak Art. The structure of the art presentation consists of 4 stages, namely (1) The pre-show begins with the making of a crocodile head and continues with the roar (gathering) after the evening prayer to strengthen friendship, (2) The initial performance (in the morning) the players line up and get ready to form a predetermined formation, (3) The core performance begins with the wedding ceremony accompanied by music and dancers guided by stepping down, (4) The final performance of Kidung Sawer or Pepeling (reminder) a song sung by the clerk wih which contains the mandate.

Additional Information:	Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya informasi dan catatan tertulis, serta kurangnya apresiasi dari masyarakat terhadap Kesenian Buaya Putih. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Umum dan Struktur Penyajian kesenian Buaya Putih. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Curug Dahu Desa Kadu Beureum RT/RW 02/05 Kecamatan Padarincang Kabupaten Serang, dengan objek Kesenian Buaya Putih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi dengan narasumber terkait serta data yang bersifat pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu ditemukan gambaran umum mengenai sejarah dan struktur penyajian Kesenian Ngarak Pengantin Buaya Putih. Struktur penyajian kesenian terdapat 4 tahap, yaitu (1) Pra-Pertunjukan di awali dengan pembuatan kepala buaya dan dilanjutkan dengan riungan (berkumpul) setelah sholat isya untu mempererat silaturahmi, (2) Pertunjukan awal (Pagi hari) pemain berbaris dan bersiap-siap membentuk formasi yang telah ditentukan, (3) Pertunjukan inti dimulainya acara Ngarak Pengantin dengan diiringi musik dan penari yang dipandu dengan lengser, (4) Pertunjukan Akhir Kidung Sawer atau Pepeling (pengingat) sebuah lagu yangt dinyanyikan oleh juru kawih yang berisi amanat.
