Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PICTIONARY GAME TO TEACH VOCABULARY MASTERY IN 10TH GRADE OF MAN 1 LEBAK By : Amelia Yustina Fatmawati This study aims to determine the Pictionary game’s effectiveness in teaching vocabulary mastery in the 10th grade of MAN 1 Lebak. This research used a quantitative approach as the research method by implementing a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study were students of class X MAN 1 Lebak and took 72 students as a sample divided into two classes. The researcher used cluster random sampling to choose the class, and the researcher obtained 10 MIA 2 as the experimental class and 10 IIS 2 as the control class. The researcher used instruments pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire. The post-test average of the experimental group is higher than the control group (8.392 > 5.054). It means that the Pictionary game effectively increase the student’s vocabulary mastery in 10th grade of MAN 1 Lebak.
