Abstract

This study to analyze the response of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) due to the shock on Financial Development in Indonesia from January 2010 to December 2022. The variables used in this research are Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Financial Development, which measure Financial Development using traditional measurements using the variables Amount of Money in Supply, Credit, and Market Capitalization. Interest Rate and Trade Openness Variables as control variables. This study uses secondary data obtained from various websites and official publications in Indonesia and international with monthly time series data. This study uses the VECM method, the results obtained in this study are the response of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) due to a shock to Financial Development in Indonesia on the variable Money Supply, Market Capitalization and Interest Rate are positive. Credit and Trade Openess response was negative.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji respon dari Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) akibat adanya shock pada Financial Development di Indonesia periode Januari 2010 sampai Desember 2022. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) dan Financial Development, dimana untuk mengukur Financial Development menggukanan pengukuran secara tradisional dengan menggunakan variabel utama adalah Jumlah Uang Beredar, Kredit, dan Kapitalisasi Pasar, variabel Suku Bunga dan Keterbukaan Perdagangan sebagai variabel kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang didapatkan dari berbagai situs dan publikasi resmi yang ada di Indonesia dan internasional dengan data timeseries bulanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode VECM, hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah respon dari Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) akibat adanya shock pada Financial Development di Indonesia pada variabel Jumlah Uang Beredar, Kapitalisasi Pasar dan Suku Bunga merespon positif. Sedangkan untuk Kredit dan Keterbukaan Perdagangan direspon negatif.
