Abstract

The research objective was to determine the effect of self management techniques to reduce academic procrastination. The type of research used was the SSR (single subject research) experimental research with a population of 114 students and a research sample of 23 students. The data collection method uses an academic procrastination questionnaire consisting of 14 statements with a reliability value (rcount) of 0.794. The results showed that the average percentage in the baseline phase (A1) for subject 1 was 81%, subject 2 was 78%, subject 3 was 76%, and subject 4 was 83%, while in the intervention phase (B) for subjects 1 was 51%, subject 2 was 48%, subject 3 was 47%, and subject 4 was 51%, while in the baseline phase (A2) for subject 1 was 48%, subject 2 was 47%, subject 3 was 44%, and subject 4 by 50%, so that the overall average decrease for subject 1 and subject 4 in the baseline phase (A1) to the baseline phase (A2) was 33%, while subject 2 and subject 3 was 31%. In addition, data overlap from baseline A1 to the intervention phase, and the intervention phase to baseline A2 has an overlap percentage of 0%, so it can be concluded that self-management techniques can reduce academic procrastination in class XII IPA SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang.

Additional Information: Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh teknik self management untuk mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata pada fase baseline (A1) untuk subjek 1 sebesar 81%, subjek 2 sebesar 78%, subjek 3 sebesar 76%, dan subjek 4 sebesar 83%, sedangkan pada pada fase intervensi (B) untuk subjek 1 sebesar 51%, subjek 2 sebesar 48%, subjek 3 sebesar 47%, dan subjek 4 sebesar 51%, sedangkan pada fase baseline (A2) untuk subjek 1 sebesar 48%, subjek 2 sebesar 47%, subjek 3 sebesar 44%, dan subjek 4 sebesar 50%, sehingga penurunan rata-rata keseluruhan untuk subjek 1 dan subjek 4 pada fase baseline (A1) ke fase baseline (A2) sebesar 33%, sedangkan subjek 2 dan subjek 3 sebesar 31%. Selain itu, data overlap pada fase baseline A1 ke fase intervensi, dan fase intervensi ke fase baseline A2 memiliki persentase overlap sebesar 0%, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik self management dapat mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik kelas XII IPA SMA Negeri 4 Pandeglang.
