Abstract

According to Neo-Classical theory one of the major components in the economic growth of each country is the accumulation of capital (Todaro, 2006). In this research, the author chose the title "The Influence of Foreign Investment and Capital Expenditure on Economic Growth at Regency and City in Banten Province 2012-2016". the purpose of this research is to analyze partially the influence of foreign investment and capital expenditure on economic growth at Regency and City in Banten Province, and simultaneously analyzing the influence of foreign investment and capital expenditure on economic growth at Regency and City in Banten Province. The method used in this research is multiple regression method with panel data that is the combination between time series and cross section. The data is used the time period of 2012 until 2016 which includes data of Regency and City in Banten Province. The result of the research shows that during the period of 2012 until 2016 the variable of foreign investment partially have a significant and positive influence to the economic growth of Regency and City in Banten Province, and also the variable of capital expenditure partially have a significant and positive influence to the economic growth of Regency and City in Banten Province. Furthermore, the variables of foreign investment and capital expenditure simultaneously have a significant impact on economic growth of Regency and City in Banten Province.

Additional Information:	Menurut Neo-Klasik salah satu komponen utama dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi dari setiap negara adalah akumulasi modal (Todaro, 2006). Penelitan ini berjudul “Pengaruh Penanaman Modal Asing dan Belanja Modal terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi pada Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten Tahun 20122016”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: Menganalisis secara parsial pengaruh penanaman modal asing dan belanja modal terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi pada Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten, dan Menganalisi secara simultan pengaruh penanaman modal asing dan belanja modal terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi pada Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis regresi berganda dengan panel data yaitu kombinasi antara time series dengan cross section. Data yang digunakan adalah periode waktu tahun 2012 sampai dengan tahun 2016 yang mencakup data Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama periode waktu tahun 2012 sampai dengan tahun 2016 variabel penanaman modal asing secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten, dan juga variabel belanja modal secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten. Selanjutnya variabel penanaman modal asing dan belanja modal secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Banten.
