Abstract

This study aimed to develop animated video-based mathematics learning media assisted by a doratoon that can help increase the learning motivation of junior high school students in grade VII. The research method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation to develop learning media. The subjects for this study were VII A class of IT AlHusein Tigaraksa Junior High School. The instruments used in this study were non-test instruments (feasibility and learning motivation questionnaires). Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. The results showed that the learning media based on animated video assisted by doratoon has a feasibility or validity of 3.21 which means it is feasible and has an effect on learning motivation with an N-Gain value of 0.4162 which is in the moderate category. Thus, it can be concluded that doratoon-assisted animated video-based learning media can be an alternative learning medium that can help increase student learning motivation.
