Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students' mathematical problem solving. One reason is the lack of use of instructional media, so that students feel less interested in learning mathematics. In learning media technology can be used, one of which is by using augmented reality which has the advantage of being able to project objects. Therefore, learning media based on augmented reality is needed to improve mathematical problem solving abilities, with the help of Instagram social media filters. Instagram was chosen because it is easy to use and many users already use it. This development research adopts the ADDIE development model which has five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Waringinkurung, with 24 students as test subjects for class VIII students. The results of the due diligence based on 3 material experts and 3 media experts obtained a percentage of 89.41% and 86.33% respectively, both of which were included in the very decent category. The response of students and teachers in this study was very good with a teacher percentage of 89.95% and a teacher percentage of 89.09%, both of which fall into the very practical category. Then, students' mathematical problem-solving abilities increased to the moderate category after learning with the developed learning media. The N-Gain Score result of 66.23% is included in the medium criteria. Then, based on the one-way paired t test, the results of the posttest increase were t_count = 15.25 and t_table = 1.71, which means t_count > t_table. This shows that students experienced an increase in the average posttest score compared to the pretest average score. Based on this, the developed learning media meets the criteria of being feasible, practical, and effective to be applied in learning mathematics.

Additional Information: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Salah satu penyebabnya yaitu kurang memanfaatkan media pembelajaran, sehingga siswa merasa kurang tertarik pada pembelajaran matematika. Dalam media pembelajaran dapat memanfaatkan teknologi, dengan salah satunya memanfaatkan augmented reality, yang memiliki kelebihan mampu memproyeksikan objek. Maka dari itu diperlukan media pembelajaran berbasis augmented reality untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, dengan berbantuan filter media sosial instagram. Instagram dipilih karena memberikan kemudahan dalam pemakaian dan sudah banyak pengguna yang memakainya. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengadopsi model pengembangan ADDIE yang memiliki lima tahap, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Waringinkurung, dengan subjek uji coba siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 24 siswa. Hasil uji kelayakan berdasarkan 3 orang ahli materi dan 3 orang ahli media mendapat persentase masing-masing 89,41% dan 86,33%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Respon siswa dan guru dalam penelitian ini sangat baik dengan persentase guru 89,95% dan persentase guru 89,09%, keduanya termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis. Kemudian, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori sedang setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Adapun hasil N-Gain Score 66,23% yang termasuk dalam kriteria sedang. Kemudian, berdasarkan uji t-paired satu arah didapatkan hasil peningkatan posttest t_hitung = 15,25 dan nilai t_tabel, = 1,71 yang artinya t_hitung > t_tabel. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata posttest dibandingkan nilai rata-rata pretest. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika.
