Abstract
Project Flood Management in Selected River Basins (FMSRB) is a project that aims to increase preparedness in managing and reducing (mitigating) flood risk, as well as changing the paradigm of project-oriented flood control activities with an integrated flood management approach. Effective farmer assistance is to establish good communication with farmers in the field in order to establish good performance cooperation between assistants and farmers. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of mentors, the level of suitability of messages in communication, the performance of assistants and the success of the program. The method used in this research is descriptive survey research with a quantitative approach. In carrying out the activity, assistants (35 people) assist two to five farmer groups, so one assistant is assessed by two farmer groups directly involved in the FMSRB program, bringing a total of 70 farmer groups (chairmen). The results showed that the characteristics of the companion, the level of suitability of the communication message, had an effect on the success of the program. Chaperone characteristics and the level of suitability of communication messages through the companion's performance have a significant influence on the success of the program

| Additional Information: | Kegiatan Project Flood Management In Selected River Basins (FMSRB) merupakan proyek yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan dalam mengelola dan mengurangi (mitigasi) resiko banjir, serta mengubah paradigma kegiatan yang berorientasi proyek pengendalian banjir pendekatan pengelolaan banjir terpadu. Pendampingan petani yang efektif adalah dengan menjalin komunikasi yang baik dengan petani dilapangan guna terjalin kerjasama kinerja yang baik antara pendamping dan petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik pendamping, tingkat kesesuaian pesan dalam komunikasi, kinerja pendamping dan keberhasilan program. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei yang bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan, pendamping (35 orang) mendampingi dua sampai dengan lima kelompok tani, maka satu orang pendamping dinilai oleh dua kelompok tani yang terlibat langsung dalam program FMSRB, sehingga total sebanyak 70 kelompok tani (ketua). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik pendamping, tingkat kesesuaian pesan komunikasi, berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan program. Karakteristik pendamping dan tingkat kesesuaian pesan komunikasi melalui kinerja pendamping mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap keberhasilan program. | |||||||||
