Abstract
Greenhouse Gases (GHG) are one of the factors that cause climate change, where it will become a major threat to life and development globally. The community is expected to be able to contribute by supporting the government's program and commitment to reducing GHG, one of which is by changing the type of vehicle, because one of the sources of emissions is conventional vehicles. The chassis frame is one of the important elements of an electric car. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design a chassis frame that is safe and strong, and can accommodate 5 passengers. The method used in this study is the Pahl and Beitz method with QFD. The results of this study are to get the best variant with a capacity of 5 people, namely a ladder type frame using AISI 4340 steel material with several modifications in it. At point A (front wheel) it experiences a loading of 339.28 kg and while for point B (rear wheel) it is 361.57 kg.Displacement which occurred at 3.707 mm as wellFactor of Safety obtained is 3.05, so this chassis frame is safe to use.

Additional Information: | Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan iklim, dimana hal tersebut akan menjadi ancaman besar bagi kehidupan dan pembangunan secara global. Masyarakat diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dengan cara mendukung program serta komitmen pemerintah dalam mengurangi GRK salah satunya dengan peralihan jenis kendaraan, karena salah satu sumber penghasil emisi ialah kendaraan konvensional. Rangka casis merupakan salah satu elemen penting dari mobil listrik. Maka dari itu tujuan penelitian ini yaitu merancangan rangka casis yang aman dan kuat, serta dapat menampung 5 orang penumpang. Metode yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu metode Pahl and Beitz dengan QFD. Hasil dari penelitian kali ini ialah mendapatkan varian terbaik dengan kapasitas 5 orang yaitu rangka jenis ladder menggunakan material baja AISI 4340 dengan beberapa modifikasi didalamnya. Pada titik A (Roda depan) mengalami pembebanan sebesar 339,28 kg dan sedangkan untuk titik B (Roda belakang) sebesar 361,57 kg. Displacement yang terjadi sebesar 3,707 mm serta Factor of Safety yang didapatkan sebesar 3,05, sehingga rangka casis ini aman digunakan. | |||||||||
