Abstract

PT. Krakatau Steel Construction is a company engaged in the steel manufacturing industry, specifically producing steel bars (bar mill), steel profile (section mill) and wire (cold wire drawing) of various types. Employee satisfaction is one of the most important things for the company, since the Covid-19 pandemic at PT Krakatau Baja Construction there have been several changes and adaptations made. One example is implementing strict health protocols, on the other hand it is suspected that there has been a decrease in productivity during the pandemic. This study aims to determine how much the factors that influence employee satisfaction at PT. Krakatau Steel Construction using the SEM PLS (Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square) method which consists of 4 exogenous variabels, namely compensation, job promotion, job training, and work environment variabels where each variabel is tested to see how much influence the factor on employee satisfaction. The results show that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee satisfaction with a coefficient value of 0.862, promotion has a positive and insignificant effect on employee satisfaction with a coefficient value of 0.010, then job training has no positive and insignificant effect on employee satisfaction with a coefficient value of -0.079, and the work environment has a positive and insignificant effect on employee satisfaction with a coefficient value of 0.019.

Krakatau Baja Konstruksi adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang industri manufaktur baja khususnya memproduksi baja tulangan (bar mill), baja profil (section mill) dan kawat (cold wire drawing) dengan berbagai macam jenis. Kepuasan karyawan adalah salah satu hal terpenting untuk perusahaan, semenjak adanya pandemic covid-19 PT Krakatau Baja Konstruksi terdapat beberapa perubahan dan adaptasi yang dilakukan. Salah satu contohnya yaitu dengan melakukan protokol kesehatan yang ketat, disisi lain diduga terjadi penurunan produktivitas selama masa pandemic. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar faktor tersebut memengaruhi kepuasan karyawan pada PT. Krakatau Baja Konstruksi dengan menggunakan metode SEM PLS (Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square) yang terdiri dari 4 variabel eksogen yaitu variabel kompensasi, promosi jabatan, pelatihan kerja, dan lingkungan kerja yang dimana pada masing-masing variabel dilakukan pengujian untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh faktor tersebut terhadap kepuasan karyawan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada kompensasi berpengaruh postif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan karyawan dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0.862, promosi jabatan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan karyawan dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0.010, kemudian pelatihan kerja tidak berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan karyawan dengan nilai koefisien sebesar -0.079, dan lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kepuasan karyawan dengan nilai koefisien sebesar 0.019.
