Abstract

In the implementation of learning mathematics requires abilities that can build the basis or initial concept of how students understand and apply mathematical ideas, namely the ability of mathematical representation. In an effort to support these abilities, this development research was carried out with the aim of producing web-based problem-based learning e-module development products to support junior high school students' mathematical representation abilities, which have been tested for validity and practicality. The model used in the research and development (R&D) carried out is the 4D development model which includes the Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate stages. The developed e-module is made and presented with the help of the Canva application, which is also equipped with several complementary media such as discussion slideshows, Google Sheets tutorial videos, short quizzes and discussion platforms (discord). The product trial results show that the E-module is feasible to use. The first trial was product validation by three lecturers and one mathematics teacher where the results of the validity test of the E-module that had been developed based on material experts obtained a percentage of 96% and media experts with a percentage of 90%, where both percentages were in the very valid category. While the second trial, namely the practicality test involving 18 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Kota Tangerang, obtained a percentage of 95% in the very practical category.

Additional Information: Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika membutuhkan kemampuan yang dapat membangun dasar atau konsep awal tentang bagaimana peserta didik memahami dan menerapkan ide-ide matematika, yaitu kemampuan representasi matematis. Dalam upaya mendukung kemampuan tersebut maka penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan produk pengembangan e-modul problem-based learning berbasis web untuk mendukung kemampuan representasi matematis siswa SMP, yang telah diuji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya. Model yang digunakan dalam penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang dilakukan yaitu model pengembangan 4D yang mencangkup tahap Define, Design, Develop dan Disseminate. E-modul yang dikembangkan dibuat dan disajikan dengan bantuan aplikasi canva, dimana juga dilengkapi dengan beberapa media pelengkap seperti slideshow pembahasan, video tutorial Google Spreadsheet, kuis singkat dan platform diskusi (discord). Hasil uji coba produk menunjukan bahwa E-modul layak untuk digunakan. Uji coba pertama adalah validasi produk oleh tiga dosen dan satu guru mata pelajaran matematika dimana hasil uji kevalidan E-modul yang telah dikembangkan berdasarkan ahli materi memperoleh persentase 96% dan ahli media dengan persentase 90%, dimana kedua persentase tersebut berada dalam kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan uji coba kedua, yaitu uji kepraktisan yang melibatkan 18 peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 Kota Tangerang mendapatkan persentase sebesar 95% dengan kategori sangat praktis.
