Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a disease that attacks the respiratory system, especially the lungs, which is chronic in nature characterized by obstruction in the airways due to inflammation, causing shortness of breath. Purpose This case is able to carry out nursing care for clients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with ineffective airway clearance in the internal medicine room at the General Hospital of Banten Province which aims to make airway clearance effective in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).This case study uses the format of nursing care including diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The nursing diagnosis is ineffective airway clearance in patients (COPD) by giving inhaled drugs using a nebulizer. The research method in compiling this scientific paper uses the case study method which was conducted on 2 patients with COPD diagnoses with ineffective airway clearance nursing problems by giving inhaled drugs using a nebulizer. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis. From the results of case studies regarding ineffective airway clearance in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), it was found that there was a reduction in sputum and reduced shortness after the act of administering drugs using a nebulizer. It can be concluded that the nursing problem of ineffective airway clearance has been partially resolved, requiring further treatment or mobilization exercises by administering medication using a nebulizer.

Additional Information:	Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik adalah penyakit yang menyerang sistem pernafasan terutama pada paru-paru yang bersifat kronik ditandai dengan adanya sumbatan disaluran pernafasan karena adanya peradangan sehingga menyebabkan sesak nafas. Tujuan Kasus ini mampu melaksanakan asuhan keperawatan pada klien dengan Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) dengan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif di ruang penyakit dalam Rumah Sakit Umum Provinsi Banten yang bertujuan untuk mengefektifkan bersihan jalan napas menjadi efektif pada pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK). Studi kasus ini menggunakan format asuhan keperawatan meliputi diagnosa, intervensi, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Diagnosa keperawatan adalah bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif pada pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) dengan tindakan memberikan obat inhalasi menggunakan alat nebulizer. Metode penelitian dalam penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah ini menggunakan metode studi kasus asuhan keperawatan yang dilakukan pada 2 pasien dengan diagnosa PPOK dengan masalah keperawatan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif dengan tindakan memberikan obat inhalasi menggunakan alat nebulizer. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil studi kasus tentang bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif pada pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik (PPOK) diperoleh adanya pengurangan sputum dan berkurangnya sesak setelah dilakukan tindakan memberikan obat menggunakan alat nebulizer. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa masalah keperawatan bersihan jalan napas tidak efektif sudah teratasi sebagian sehingga membutuhkan perawatan atau latihan mobilisasi lebih lanjut degan tindakan memberikan obat menggunakan alat nebulizer.
